Text from JG, Crystal was played after KW1, guessing it was the same set to that point besides opening with Toothache.
You could argue that at least they're trying. Then again, you could argue that by gently mixing up the set in a "look, we're trying!!"-stylee is pretty half-arsed, especially when tickets cost around £40 with the bullshit booking fees.
Never thought I'd say this, but I think my Wembley ticket may just get shoved in a drawer and ignored.

First time I've seen them in 20 years, they were absolutely shite then and this was the complete opposite, quite simply superb. Although Hooky was a bit on the quiet side (a bad back apparently) Barney was in fantastic form. Also seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself, not sure about some of his dance moves though. Crowd in good spirits as well, wish I'd bought a ticket for tomorrow night now.

Bands typically play 2 nights in a row now when they're filming a gig. Gives 'em more footage to pick from if a certain song ends up crap one night. So I wouldn't expect the setlist to be much different tomorrow (perhaps even identical).

From an audio standpoint, they record in multitrack these days, so the old business of "the first 3 songs are unfit for broadcast" no longer applies.
They are lucky it's a gig though, cos TV cameras are the shittiest thing to have near you if they are "running things". drove me mental any time we had them in ( like the time they ruined our entire rehearsal and soundcheck for a gig, and only used 30 secs of footage of us).

My humble opinion is that the set list looks great! I hope they play a similar set of songs when I go next week!
(I guess for those lucky enough to see them all the time, they want to see something different all the time, but for those of us who travel far and wide to see them, and get few chances to see them, we want to see certain classic songs done, and I would have to say that setlist would cover pretty much everything I would like to see within the limitation of the fact that they will only play 16 or so songs max. )
I especially look forward to Ceremony, True Faith, Temptation, LWTUA, Perfect Kiss, Your Silent Face.
Oh man, I cannot wait until next week! Please please please stick to this set list, I must see PK and Ceremony live!!! (Never seen PK live, and I have been waiting since 1998 to see Ceremony live again!!!

Yes it was those - Nic never updates the gigography with old stuff! At least two of those 89 shows without setlist opened with it. I'll dig out the CDs when I get home.
I agree with you mate, having seen a few dodgy performances over the last 21 years, last night was top notch. Even the wife enjoyed her 1st NO gig, but she did ban me from the mosh pit which went totally feckin wild for Temptation. Wasn't too keen on the revamp of Perfect Kiss, but the lead into Blue Monday was cool. Pity Hooky's back was sore coz I was wanting him to give the synth drums laldy during PK but to no avail.
Just goes to show all the no hairs and grey hairs can have a right good night. Bastards should have played Shadowplay as well as Transmission and LWTUA.
If I never see another NO gig last night will be a nice lasting memory

Sounds like bit of a mirror from Blackpool gig,Hooky was quiet there too,& Barney was one who was enjoying himself.Mind you,I thought the same when saw them at Man' Apollo last year,Hooky was quite subdued,altho' the moves & playing were spot on.& I know people keep going on about the setlist,we've all got our preferences of what we want to hear,but at least there are new songs in it,These Days,Who's Joe,Guilt,TPK is back,if we had been told last year that these were gonna be included,we'd have taken it wouldn't we?

Yes, there were plenty of cameras there last night. I would feel very proud if the next New Order live DVD is Glasgow 19/10/06.
Oh aye & Transmission was Hooky's choice for encore as Barney asked us which we'd prefer (Transmissin or Shadowplay), but then left it to Hooky to decide.
Anyone know what time NO took the stage last night at the Carling - Glasgow? I'm coming through from Edinburgh and dont really want to check out any support or hang about the bloody Gorbals while I can be drinking in comfort and safety in the Capital before travelling through to the wonderful world of weegie...
Bloody hell Timo, you're just coming to Glasgow, not Kabul !! They were onstage for 9pm last night. Have a good one tonight & try not to pepper spray any of the locals who might speak to you tonight !!
Fucking brilliant night. Just got home ma heid is fucking banging and my ears are ringing, too much beer and diving around like a 12 year old tends to do that.
Cracking surprise with toothache first, got bored standing right at the front so dived into the mosh area where it got a bit hairy at times, band were on top form. The Corby Order got interviewed at the end of the night as we were the last people there, waiting for Hooky to come out. I hope to fcuk they don't include us on any DVD - we were a right state 
Twas good to speak to the main man Roger Lyons and Hooky was chatting away with Lorraine and signed our set-list.
The aftershow was a blast with all the usual suspects out, Franz Ferdinand was there as well, and Andy Rob joined us all on the dancefloor. Great craic.
My hands are actually shaking as I type, I need a few days off the beer, fcuk knows what state the rest of the Vikings will be in later!!! I will do a proper story when I have recovered.

Certainly was a top night!
Met a few of the vikings afterwards waiting for them to come out at the back. Im the "lurker" and was the one probably talking shite. Thanks to whoever gave me the badge, its a cracker! Nice to meet you'ze all anyway!! Lovely people!!
