Ok, we've seen what can be achieved with a bit of hard work. Now it's time for you guys to ask your employers to do their bit and donate to the Blue Saturday fund. All monies raised will be divided between the NSPCC and Cancer Research.

Go on, ask your boss. All donations will see the donor's company get very favourable press, plus credit on the forthcoming Blue Saturday CD and DVD.

Come on guys, let's get to ten grand or better. We can do it.

We might have a good news for you Tim.

Expect a call from WenOrder tomorrow, or drop him an email at mike at retroforward.com, I gave him your phone number, hope you don't mind.

We'll do our part.

I'd try this, but unfortunately, the NHS is financially screwed at the moment - may be able to organise a couple of independant collections though...

Nice idea Tim

I'll raid the safe tomorrow mate!

Actually on a serious note..watch this space.Post Office launched an initiative recently. They offered something like whatever an employee raises for charity, they'll put half the proceeds to it,or double it.I shall find out. Thought I'd screw them for money when I do my annual 55 mile walk next March.

Hi Tim I work for TfL (for my sins before all you Londoners boo me!) and they're pretty hands on about this sort of thing so I'll see what I can do. I'll make some noises about this next week as I'm feeling ****ed with the flu at the moment. If that's a no go I'll try and do a private collection with my department/friends. Cheers!:thumb:

LOL - so did I in my past (for a computer consultant company), then onto Metronet, and finally out of there after 5 years! :)

Not sure it will be feasible working in a University.

Shame I hadn't thought of it before could have done a sponsored dance or something ridiculous!

I could buy a t-shirt from you and do a charity raffle maybe?

Every little counts! Do you think one of the signed posters would fetch more in a raffle than it will on eBay? I've still got 4 signed posters to sell, two of the Singles leaf design, one of the full set of record sleeves design, and a JD print showing photos of the band members.

I don't know but when you do raffle or put them on Ebay, let us know. Wouldn't mind the JD print.

They'll go on the Bay probably Sunday night I would think, maybe Monday. Depends on what time I get home.

I probably can't get anything from the company...but I will certainly see what I can get the people from my store to do....

Likewise... The school's a no-go, but I'll try and rustle something up from the staff...

I have sent smoke signals to the powers that be. I expect fuck all back from them this side of the next ice age. (not that they don't take exploiting charities seriously or anything, but they usually can't be arsed responding to critical system failures, or serious staff issues, at ALL, so, I hold out little hope)

might be able to torture a coupla quid out of my cow-orkers but there's only 3 of them.

Me thinks you are underselling your self, my dear.

And underestimating the number of perverts on here
