Big Clive is a loser. He lost his inflatable guitar yesterday. I don´t bring my microphone with me today. It`s a litte bit stressy, because lots of people, who wants to be interviewed. I´m not Big Clive. I didn´t loose this.

Aye, good craic as is always the case with these guys, wasn't quite the same without our leader though. Highlights for me were Edwyn Collins(Shug's mate), meeting the Corby posse, Liam on E and the weather. Good to see you all again, must do it again soon :thumb:

The whole trip was just utter chaos. Only complaints were the non arrival of Al, and the late arrival of Burt.

Musically, not a patch on last year. Interpol were great, so were CSS and Foals. Edwyn Collins was good, but quite sad at the same time. The Verve were passable, but I didnt think much pf Primal Scream, although at least they looked like they were trying. Ian Brown started off terribly, but picked up towards the end.

Nothing outragesouly bad, but nothing mindblowing like Arcade Fire or LCD last year.

Stories of beer fuelled chaos to be added later.

Some questions from the trip.

Who went to bed first every night? How did Vinnie get back to the hotel on Saturday? Where did Darren and Mrs Darren get to on Saturday? How great were CSS? Did Carlos break his bass at the end of Interpols set? Who was the most pissed?

and one last one.

Same time, same place, next year?*

Unless Arcade Fire and LCD do Benicassim, in which case i'm going there instead.

Never knew you cared, Al :smoking:

Cracking trip and to any peeps who also saw Neon Neon on the Saturday night I've now *cough* got the album *cough*. A concept album on the life and death of John Delorean in the stylee of 80s power pop... works surprisingly well!

Will keep it brief fer now, if I can be arsed there will be a Viking tale of the festivities soon :thumb:

Managed to miss my pals Edwyn Collins & Roddy Frame cos we had to queue fer ages for beer tokens which was a bastard, but got in on time to see Ian Brown who was actually a lot better than I thought he'd be, this was mainly helped by Mani's arrival for Waterfall, Made Of Stone & Resurrection. Blondie were fucking magic on the second stage playing all of the hits with the exception of Denis. Got back in time for Interpol who were alright and the first night was finished off by The Verve who suffered a lot of problems with feedback and dodgy sound throughout, I was a bit pished by the time but apparently Ashcroft was on good form. Unfortunately I missed the end of this set and the Primals cos the missus was feeling terrible.

The last night was just as good, except for the fact I was ill as fuck, two cracking sets from The Kooks and The Kings Of Leon cheered me up, but I have to say my highlight was seeing the Pistols live, Rotten did his best to antagonise and wind up some of the crowd "Erase the USA and get out of Iraq" was one such ad lib between songs. They rattled through all of their first album and several others.

Big shout out to all the Vikings who made the trip such a pleasurable experience as always and welcomed the new members of the Corby Order into the fold. Only downer was that Al and his missus never made it.

Hopefully we can repeat this event next year.

Just thought I'd shove a couple of pics up for general public consumption. Hama Superstar or whatever his name is. He's a god. And a pie-eater.

Har Mar Superstar (found out from Neon Neon's Myspace page - which features Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals) - left me stunned during Neon Neon's set (most of which I can't remember)!

In fact, I only found out the above when I got home! :)

Nice album, though... :thumb:

Somebody didn't tell me about it until after I'd got home last night, possibly because somebody thought I might spend the evening drooling over the Cate LeBon

I knew it was a mistake telling you how to post pictures

She does appear a bit Goldie Looking Chain in that pic, but in my defence I was lovedup when they were on stage.

And at least I didn't fancy Har Mar like Jert did :evil4:
