I'm sorry to say I won't be going. Had a fantastic time last year and would be going again if it were a bit later.
Enjoy!
hmmm... i kind of half feel like going. i'm not in the mood for paying £70 for a hotel room at the moment though.and i didn't like the shitty train trip for £25 last year.
what time does the clubnight afterwards go on til? i could drink and get down with the kids til kicking out time and then kip in an alleyway or nottingham train station til the first train in the morning or something maybe.
or i could nick my lodger's car and drive over then kip in that afterwards. but he probably wouldn't be at all happy at the prospect of his car being vulnerable to thieves in nottingham city centre
Have got ticket and am looking forward to it...Getting to Notts for about 6.30 and will be heading straight to venue.
Am going.Decided to go for the cheap option and booked a hostel instead of a hotel. £15.
Booked a ticket for the gig. It's The Smyths too according to the venue website? ACE![]()

are you fucking insane??? I seen that movie, so I know what happens to people in hostels...fucking barbaric, I tell you...
oh...and I shan't be in attendance either...if Jemma was going, I might think about it...
oh...who the fuck am I kidding...even if Jems was to make an appearance, there's no way in hell I could be there...
work sucks...

oh i hadn't thought of that.shit. i'll be careful not to get too chatty to any bespectacled dodgy looking Dutch businessmen on the train
you should have booked the premier inn. it's only a 15 second taxi ride from the venue.... [that was a quick way to lose a fiver]

is that the one down the street from the venue? i stayed there last year aye but couldnt be arsed to pay this year
See you all later.
Request from the Derby branch of the Re-Order Appreciation Society
..is for a storming rendition of Hurt.
Weird really my first ever NO gig was in 1984 @ Nottingham Palais and my creaking memory remembers a cracking version of Hurt...More of the same please

For some reason, I am subject to an ASBO in Nottingham, can't imagine why![]()
Anyway, have a good night hope to see some of you in Manc; though must admit, I need to find a hotel that is hospitable, not shit, really.
Expect full run down tomorrowxxxxx
(IE anywhere BUT the Gardens - twice is enough for anyone!) ![]()

not while I was there but we left him with shugs and baldrick so who knows what happened to him then....
Atmosphere and EGG were standout highlights for me.
Oh and Re:Order's keyboard Gillian coming over to chat to us afterwards was a highlight too![]()
My shoutouts for Do The Ostrich fell on deaf ears .Though Shug reckons Jim Reilly heard it and replied "Do The Ostrich, who shouted that?" Hopefully they'll add it to the setlist in future.
Recognised Paul Trowell when i got to the venue.Good to meet yer mate.
Nice to see Will,Baldrick, Shug again and Mrs Shug and her mate.
Enjoyed the argy bargy down the front when The Smyths did Bigmouth Strikes Again.Right good ruck it were!
My only quibble was that singer for The Smyths returning shirtless for the encore with black tape covering his nipples. He proceeded to rip the tape off during Hand In Glove and give one to someone at the the front and stuck the other on someone's forehead. I voiced my displeasure at this to Will afterwards and hope to not witness it again.
Didn't get much kip back at the hostel. A gang of "Bloods" were sharing the room and were particularly raucous.
Enjoyed myself and good to put a few faces to names on here..Really love the Rescue Rooms.
Re-Order were very good as usual...only gripe remove one jd track and include aoc/sunrise type of track.
Smyths were also ok..it got very very busy..they are playing in Derby in April and thinking bout going ( Will..any chance of you getting in on The Flowerpot gig in Derby( Re-Order in Derby for the 3rd time !!!! )
Top craic, though only having two students behind the bar was a fucking joke.
Re-Order were on form, though I can't remember Age Of Consent.....wass that about? Gutted we missed Decades though. BM & Temptation in particular got the crowd going. Tip of the hat to The Smyths as well, great sing along.
Good to meet up Paul and Johnny it's always a pleasure matey. And also good to catch up with the lads (and lassie) from Re-Order at the end of the gigs. Oh, and why was Simon NOT wearing a dress?
RE ORDAH!
(Only managed a few pics before the camera died, will get em on FB soon
)
Didn't fair too badly myself getting served but did see a few waiting ages .Secured a place at the bar for most of The Smyths set and was served quickly each time as many were watching the band rather than buying drinks.
Although obviously i'm aggrieved The Smyths seem to be more popular than Re:Order Everyday Is Like Sunday was certainly a moment last night.
