well they turned up, but not really much of a crowd, which was kinda nice, strange seeing three qaurters of new order play such a small venue and not sell it out.they all seemed in good spirits, though someone please have a word with phil about his guitar histrionics,fuckin annoying and distracting,wether he likes it or not noone is there to see him and all the thrusting and arm waving isnt going to make us more interested.this is the first time i have seen them,but isnt three guitarist slightly over egging the pudding? all in a good night,different but good. hey ho,im off to work,see you later.
Ceremony was brought out early, apart from that the set was the usual. Encore of Regret, Atmos, Transmish and LWTUA.
New synth-heavy, drum laden version of Atmos which was excellent. Looking forward to hearing that again on Thursday. Best version of Atmos I've heard.
Shame there weren't more folk in the venue, probably 350 in a 500 cap place. Best reactions were saved for Tighten Up, Crystal and Temptation.
Nobby went back stage at the end and told the band about being chucked out of Fac251. Apparently Bernard was most amused by this!

It was the first time, they played four encores.
I love the new Version of Atmosphere, too.
The band seemed to be were happy with the gig backstage.
Nice to meet the Glasgow and the Linlithgow Order.
I am looking forward to Preston and Liverpool now.
Attendance was closer to 200 I would say. I worked in that venue for years so can judge it quite well. To be honest I feared it would be much smaller. Especially at £17.50 a ticket. On a rainy Tuesday. The week before payday. Cant believe the cunt at the door charged me a £2.50 booking fee to PAY AT THE DOOR. What a liberty. Told him as much.
Was nice getting getting right to the front without any jostling (I'm getting on a bit now). The NO stuff was good but a bit neutered given the lack of Hooky. Nothing I saw of the new stuff made me change my opinion on it. It's crap. All in all, hard to know what to make of it. On the positive side, the guys are out there trying to create something new rather than relying wholly on past glories. On the negative side, well, their attempts are a bit shit and based on last night's attendance it would appear that people just aren't that interested. I wouldn't bet on there being a second Bad Lieutenant album, that's for sure.
I must admit i thought they would have been quite a few more than 200 in Glasgow.I don't know if i could be bothered to go and see the JD HOOKY project although i would have liked to have seen Freebass.I had a ticket for the FAC 251 first night but couldn't go due to prior arrangements and have noticed that when i go on Saturday to Preston i could be with less people than an open day at Chorley Jobcentre!I'll buy my own drinks.....
I would say, there were more than 10 rows with 20 people. 350 will be nearer to the reality than 200.

No chance. The Garage only holds 500 in that room. And it was well less than half full. As I said, I used to look out from that stage every Friday night for 6 years between 1994 and 2000. I know the place well.
In fairness, as I pointed out to JG prior to going in, less than 300 turned up for Monaco in the same venue in 1997 and they'd had a top 10 hit.

Sorry, but you're wrong, GlasVegas. A venue can be even sold out without looking full. For example the floor of the Royal Albert Hall looks less than half full, if it's sold out. It's because of fire protection.

No disrespect Nobby but like I said, I DJ'd from that main stage for 6 years. You were in the venue for, what, 90 minutes? I think I'm slightly better qualified to estimate how many people were in the gaff! JG and I both said 200 to 250 max when we arrived which was 10 mins before Bad loo took to the stage. Anyway, what a silly debate. Let's settle on 'the venue was far from full'.
As I said, it actually made the night more enjoyable for me being able to move about freely. Never been that close at any NO gigs with the exception of the Royal Festival Hall John Peel thing where we were a ball-hair from actually being on stage!

Cracking gig,I enjoyed it,particularly Out of Control/Temptation then the encore, I would say there was about 200-350 people there...
