Will Re Order and meself will be at the Flowerpot from 7pm onwards.
Client B's new club night Fanzine kicks off there that nigt and it's a Morrissey themed night. There's a possibility we may hear Bs luxurious voice doing justice to some Mozzer/Smiths offerings early on too. And you never know who the musical accompaniment might be.

Entertaining night. Set list......only surprise was BLT (BAU version) was reintroduced. Regret was brought back into the starting line up with Ceremony in the encore. The interpretation of Atmosphere debuted in Glasgow this week was replaced with the standard mix which was a shame.
Good turn out, venue looked pretty full. Strong Viking showing and a few of the 3rd Battalion out.
Nice pre gig at The Flower Pot. Sarah (Client/Dubstar) sounded excellent singing 3 Smiths classics, with Will (Re Order/Smyths) and Simon (Smyths) providing great accompaniment. Watch out for a Dubstar reunion this year starting with a cover of German Film Star donated to an Amnesty Intl project.
Had a quick chat with Kevin Cummins and Reuben Wu (Ladytron) afterwards. Author Dec Hickey was lapping up plaudits from proud book owners.

Concur with JG; an entertaining night with a very respectable venue turnout and the band seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage. Early on Bernard had a bit of a "pop star moment" regarding the direction of a stage fan not being pointed at his face to which the audience let out a collective "Oooooooh" and he cracked a smile. Jake - to the right of him - loved that. A bit later Pompey Order (?) shouted out "Cheer up Bernard!" to which replied "I'll cheer up when you shut up.... only joking!" Bless.
Aside from that the usual numbers got the best crowd reaction and the odd bit of moshing I.e. Ceremony, Temptation, Transmission, LWTUA etc. All really good renditions and they've finally managed to find the volume setting on Tom Chapman's bass and turned it up. Other highlights for me were Poisonous Intent and Out of Control both of which sounded really good. Sink or Swim - like or loathe - seems to be establishing itself and got more of a cheer when they launched into it.
Great seeing the usual suspects in attendance as always.
I've got half-decent videos of Twist of Fate and Tighten Up which I need to edit and upload at some point. Burt did a sterling job of getting 4 or 5 of the other tracks which are already online I believe
Nearest they got to "Atmosphere" was someone shouting "OH! I LOVE A PARTY WITH AN ATMOSPHERE!".
Grand gig : though perhaps a bit mroe variety would be nice - and Bernard did promise "Age Of Consent" next time. I'd like them to ditch the JD songs now - the only person on stage playing the same parts as they did on the original record is.. Stephen Morris - who isn't 'officially' in the band, is he? "LWTUA" doesn't sound quite so good when the chorus is "COME ON!"

I agree. I'd be happy if they never played anothber JD song again. I would like them to stick with the current7 BL song (maybe add Walk on Silver Water) and add a few more Electronic and New Order numbers.

You mean the Brotherhood album version of BLT, without the 12 inch intro?
Reuben Wu is a cool guy. I've had the good fortune to hang out with Ladytron twice (as sit around and chat with them for an hour or so) and they are all pretty cool, down to earth people (as well as being an awesome band).
went into the gig thinking , crickey why am i leaving warm sunny, homely pompey to come all this way for Bernards divas,, within three seconds of this is home,, it was like fuckmee i missem sooo much,,, there grand entrance didt go like clockwork,, some one slipped on some orange peel, Atmospher was on the list twice to be played but got bumped by, rol ,, and ceremony.. thought audience bit reserverd,, well it is london,,, though Temptation, kicked like never before,, what a great hook up with out of control...Regret was a nice treat..if someone ever tells me how to upload ive got entrance,, ceremony, 1min, trans, 1 min two verses of lwta, before , turn that off...as m8 said on the tube home,, bass sounded,, well hooky,, yup,, we all need a bit of hooky,, .
Big love to the Roadie who gave me set list,, security,, this is a punk rock venue..

But I'm not sure who or what the Pompey Order are. Had a great night down the front until I spazzed my knee. Band seemed to be enjoying themselves, even Bernard did despite the fan and guitar problems.
Another one who thinks it's time to lay the JD songs to rest.

Think they should only play Atmosphere, Decades and Love Will Tear Us Apart. Nobody can drop any JD songs, they are eternal classics!!! Ian Curtis, God rest his soul!!!
