I'm genuinely surprised by this. I feel like a JD heavy Peter Hook & The Light set would be more on-brand.

A quick glance at the poster and you’ll think he was on the bill [happy]

Details are scarce (the lineup will be announced on December 2nd), but the promotor behind the Cruel World Festival and last year's Darker Waves Festival have announced a UK counterpart to take place next year in Milton Keynes.

No New Order this year, but I hope this is a success. A great bill: LouderThanWar

In anticipation of the festival appearances, Devo and New Order have selected their favourite tracks from each other. Apparently there is a "Link in Stories" to the playlists. But I don't use Instagram enough to know what the fuck that means. Can someone please advise?

InstagramDevoNewOrder

Update: I was able to view New Order's Devo track picks by going in through Devo's Instagram post (they weren't terribly surprising). Can't seem to repeat it or view Devo's New Order picks, though. Frustrating.

Another update: A Google search of "New Order curate Devo Songs" takes me to Devo's Spotify. I don't use Spotify, so perhaps that's why I'm not seeing a link on Instagram. The list of songs are just their most popular, not necessarily those chosen by New Order (likely Stephen doing the heavy lifting). So presumably someone with an account will be able to enlighten the rest of us.

Well the link in stories (thats Instagram stories at the top of Rhino Records page) takes me to this Spotify link

12 NO songs picked.

1 BM 2 Love Vig 3 YSF 4 Temptation 5 EGG 6 AOC 7 TF 8 TPK 9 Ceremony 10 WIM 11 Plastic 12 Tutti Frutti

and THIS is NO's choice of Devo tracks. I recognise Whip It and Satisfaction. The rest means nothing to me, Oh Vienna...

I'm a huge Devo fan, and this is a best-of playlist except for Sumthin', which is not an obvious choice. 8 of the 10 were singles.

A much shorter set than normal? I saw people saying that the weather was bad and the stage was really slippery, so I wonder if they cut it short or if they only had an allotted window?

We had light rain on and off from around 3pm but it stopped a couple of hours before they were on stage. The sets were just short, and they did start on time. It looked to me like the stage is covered and Bernard's world famous dancing was on display.
