Hi!
I've justed signed up to the forum and was surprised to see that there wasn't any discussion about a new album. Can someone please fill me in with how the band is progressing in the studio and if there is any news about a possible release date.

No date of release by now...
There's no discussion coz we don't know anything, Stu - as soon as info becomes available, rest assured there will be plenty of discussion. The best case scenario would be a release in the next year or so, but that's just guessing really.

Well, in a recent interview I conducted with Barney...through telepathy...his thoughts revealed that he thought the entire idea of a Broadway-themed pop album about the life of Saint Thomas a Becket was dodgy at best and "likely to be the worst fucking thing we've ever done." He also confessed to his torment over my inability to get a full refund when I discovered my DVD player wasn't compatible with the 511 concert disc, and offered to sacrifice a lamb in the studio as a way of soothing the anger of the gods.....:D

Recent news tells us that Phil C. has been doing a bit of traveling between Los Angeles and Manchester. Since we know he's supposed to be helping with the new album, I can't see why he'd be making such a long commute if New Order wasn't well into making the album. Unless of course he lives there. In which case, I have no point.

Yes.He is helping the band to carry their instruments in his back
