While on a bus one time, I saw a black guy with a big afro holding the Run2 record. He was starring at it like he was in love with it. (So was I  )

Hi folks...

...In 1997 I jobbed in a record store in austria, and one day we got a delivery with new imported records from the u.k.; one of these records I looked at, thou I even hated it while listening; but it was the 1st release 4 years, and we got only one copy of that, and I HAD 2 buy it...

...years later, meanwhile member of the nool-community, I appreciate this record, and u all know, which record I mean don't u all ?...

...btw, 1985 I was going into a shopping mall in austria (all in the province !) and I looked from habit 2 the selling-out records there; suddenly I had a record in my hands with no group name or title on it, but a big 93; and I liked this cover from the 1st moment on (all praise is due to peter saville), so I bought it 4 less; and of course u all know, which record I mean, don't u all ?...

...that r 2 stories of my neworder life:)...

Greetz, Floyd Anderson.

I told this several times but it is a real flower. While visiting Baylor University, 1986 I think, I noticed that all the sidewalks were covered with chalk writings inviting people to bible study or prayer meetings. Suddenly there was a square of sidewalk that said "Leave Me Alone." The next one said "Ecstacy." The one after that, "Ultraviolence." Infact, the entire track listing of PC&L was chalked on that side walk. Just like a bright star on a dark night, someone at this Christian school loved my favorite band. I still find it a very pleasant memory.

  1. In NYC I heard Run Wild twice in different Starbuck's. They must have it on some company mix tape.

  2. On a train between Chengdu and Urumqui a nice middle aged chinese man played the mandarin version of BM on this dinky cassette player. It's the best version I ever heard.

A couple of years ago whilst in a nightclub in Glasgow I noticed a bloke with New Order tattooed on his arm.

I am a keen ornithologist and once whilst watching a flock of starlings preparing to alight for their nightly roost their huge flying mass slowly recreated the blob on the sleeve of the worst of new Order.

That for me would still have to be the TV ad for our local Ford Falcon. I find it strange that a car which for a long time now was seen as old-fashioned, crude huge and a petrol guzzler would use a song (Slow Jam) by one of the most innovative technologicly advanced bands in the world.

The new falcons are supposed to be much better than the old one. The Ad doesn't get shown much at the moment.
