Sorry, I've never heard anything from "new order" before I had seen the "Crystal" videos. I've got two questions 1.Are the people in the video the people who really sing the song or are they just some actors?
Where did you see the video? On MTV2? I believe it was filmed in France; I doubt that the actors are anybody well known.

You are right, they are actors -- not the real New Order.
It's not the first time New Order doesn't appear in one of their videos. They're not in "Round and Round" or "Fine Time" or even "Spooky"... you can barely see them in "World (The Price of Love)", "True Faith" or even "Bizarre Love Triangle".
On the other hand, you can see them quite well in The Perfect Kiss, Blue Monday 1988, Touched By The Hand of God (impersonating Def Leppard/Metallica likes musicians) and "Ruined in a Day".

Although I must say the band's cameo appearance in World (The Price of Love) was great. Hooky reading the paper, Steve and Gillian acting all touristy, Barney looking like typical Barney.
And where did they come up with the name, The Killers? If you notice on the drum set, the "band" singing Crystal is called The Killers.
Interesting. I wonder if Hooky's ex-wife had a role in naming
