it´s nonesense for me. there´re only a few who like to show their stuff. for me it´s the same of seeing who has the bigger pennis!

Collecting isnt an ego thing at all, its an interest, you only have to look at the number of responses Hugo Michiogus thread has had to see how much interest there is.
i think its a great idea, cos then when something is on ebay i can see if i have it already or not & it'll save me ending up with 3 copies of sub culture on 12"....

Although it's an interesting idea, it would rather defeat the object of us having a Buy/Sell/Trade forum - if people really want to list their collections, that should really be the forum to use.
Then, if someone wants to trade a concert with you, they can find it there.
I have several copies of different official releases, and can usually find things for people - if I want to trade, that's where I'd do it.

The feature is on its way, so no real need for this poll 
In fact, it will simply be a checkbox in each discography item to state that you have it, and a link to do your inventory from the Member Profile page.. probably an option to make it public.. and I'll try if I'm able to do it, to have an "export" function so you can get the list through at least a flat file, we'll see about that.
Altough I feel this might be useful to avoid threads about "this is my collection", but also to be able to know WHO on NOOL possesses the item you've been looking for...
Anyways, It's not coded yet, I'm doing the administration module of the discography (all week-end :barf: ) and then I'll revamp the discography and fix all data.
Give me a little time, I know also there are missing entries, nothing is complete, we'll get to this.

I like the idea. Think no one is interreted in my collection, but I like to see what other people have. Maybe a personal qoute can added to the items to make it more ...personal.

Does anyone really give a fook what others have got in their CD etc collection ? My only interest in what other people have got is in terms of live tapes that I don't have, and there are pretty few of those. I certainly have no interest in listing all the vinyl, CDs and all that shite. I am doing an online bootleg list, that will be available and will include sound quality samples, and that will be uploaded when I have finished these CDs for people.

Which sort of defeats the point.
Does it matter when someone lies about it ? If people like to make up some items in their collection, so what ? If one need that to feel better,be my guest. Besides think it's not the quantity but quality what counts.
Can we include addresses as well, and dates when NOOL's houses are going to be empty, then I can go round and nick all the stuff I'm missing

I don't see the point in lies here, I see only a good way to find who can provide discography information and pictures :)
Plus, I'll know what I have in my collection, altough I know them, it's always nice to know.. and it will help completing the discography. It's not too hard to do, and as they say, if you don't like it, don't use it!

You just need one address for that.. it's in Miami Florida, and since this person advertises his "flights" to see events over the world, you can find out when it's empty

Well a quick note as to 11,000 views of 1 thread would actually tell me that NOOL's really do care.The reason i posted mine was for those who had contacted me several times to tell them what i have.Has it took 25 years before ever having this lot catalogued i think you can see that i don't really care for this sort of thing.Material posessions mean jack shit to me usually.I just NEEDED THE ARTWORK.Having said all this i am intrigued in what others have and must have read every post on the thread.But YOU are indeed entitled to not give a shit what others HAVE.But i guess that the MAJORITY of NOOL's have wanted to see what is out there in NEW ORDER WORLD. :DSo to those of you that can be bothered or want to share don't feel intimidated or bothered what the rest of us have.Cos if you can't collect a VAST amount of crap after 25 years like me then what do you do with your money?DRINK :D

Is there enough space there (in the profile)? I think its a good idea for people to post their collection somewhere if they want to. That way we know that people know what they are talking about when they mention different versions of songs. I guess its also a good way to see all the different variations out there, that may or may not be in the "official discography". Perhaps its an idea to clean up the "whats in your collecion" thread ie just leave the collecions and put it in resourcs, or just leave as a permanent thread on the top of the forum. I think its always interesting to see what others have in their collections.
