I think it's called that because 3 16 18 22 24 28 37 would've looked a bit stupid, considering the designer Peter Saville probably matched only the first two Lottery numbers on his friggin' ticket.

I don't know about the title 3 16 at all and even I've not seen it. Well, I think 3 16 is probably a kind of date. 16 March? It sounds a bit silly...

By the way, it's Saturday afternoon now and I'm gonna go to movies, then have a party of my birthday and finally, go clubs today. You all in this board, enjoy yourselves in this weekend! :clap:

Maybe it's a takeoff on all those signs you used to see at American football games...the ones that said John 3:16...like any members of the Order would stoop so low as to watch the NFL...

I've seen these kind of signs at many sporting occasions Jeff, including real football (what you'd call soccer), cricket, rugby, blah blah blah.

I think we should all be told what this 3 16 is all about. It's a damn good dvd though :D

I saw somthing like that on TV some time after buying the dvd... It seems a little far-fetched though, I mean what does that have to do with anything? But with New Order, you never know. Who knows why they name anything the way they do?

These signs are a reference to a section of the bible pertaining to something I know nothing about, seeing as I am agnostic

Thank you! I was really excited when I went a club as a birthday celebration with my freinds because the DJ remixed "Confusion"! Me and a friend of mine (is also into New Order) went crazy! :D

At the beginning of Taras Sevchenko (on the video tape as well as on the DVD), there is something written in cyrillic. The letters are epsilon, i and b, and they look like 316. I guess that's the reason why the DVD was called like that: just a question of visual interpretation...
