Personally, Joy Division's music are the bridge between punk and "alternative." Many people today don't seem to understand that if it were not for Joy Division, many bands would not be here today. And I don't want to sound like a whinny little twat but I hate the fact that Morrissey always seems to put Joy Division down.

Just remember that nobody, absolutely nobody, takes Morrissey seriously. They never have, and never will. Apart from spotty no-life students who were the subject matter of half his songs.
