Perfecto mix of True Faith is pretty good, not heard PVD's mix of Spooky.
Speaking about remixes improving on original tracks (post-80-ss) - there aren't that many that added that extra-something to the a-sides they were accompanying.
That reminds me of a chat me & a mate had at work one night while listening to an 80s show on the radio. We both agreed that remixes today are not what they once were, or as they were known then, 12" mixes. It seems that back then, they were longer versions of a good tune, whereas these days the word remix gives anyone free reign to do what they like to a song, detrimental or not.
I don't know if you can get to listen to that station on line or not, but the site is http://www.todayfm.com
If you can tune in, the 80s show is 7pm-11pm (gmt) on Fridays, which is followed by a 90s show from 11pm-2am and I would recommend 8pm-1am Sunday-Thursday when you can hear some class tracks, including ocasionally NO/JD, which is rare these days. In particular, midnight - 1am which is known as 'The Headphones Hour', first rate material. Sorry for going a bit off-topic!
