so i was on my way into work and listening to this radio station that was counting down the 20 most requested songs of the 1987. the countdown was organized to celebrate the 20 years this station has been in operation. so according to the radio station, it's listeners in 1987 requested "1963" enough for it to rank 15th in the countdown. is this possible? if so, is it a local fluke or was "1963" more popular than i remember? because, i don't remember it getting a lot of radio attention in los angeles.

To quote the band: "What song is on the other side of 1963?"

I'm not sure they played the right side.

But then 1963 was also an a-side in the States.

Er, don't think so actually. 1963 Wasn't an A-side until 1995, and even then, not in America.

Nineteen63 was a UK a-side in 1995. It appeared on the US release of (the best of) but no singles were issued over here.

We are talking about 1987 here not 1995.
