In the recording of the April 4th Moonlight gig, Ian is said to have collapsed after Insight, then they played Interzone minus Ian (with Steve singing, I suppose).

So, afterwards, Barney says "That's about it then," someone tells him to fuck off, Barney says "You fuck off" -- and then I don't know what's said by Barney. Does anyone know what Barney says after "fuck off"?

It doesn't really matter who sang on Interzone. I just know it wasn't Ian.

It was Wilson on stage as the event's compere, not Barney.

the decision about who was to sing with such short notice that night eerily reminds me the decision they had to make as new order. strange they picked hooky, suppose his parts were easier and had more confidence than barney

edit : i forgot hooky usually sang interzone with ian live anyway :nuts:

1.Hooky was Joy Division's back vocal;

2.He also sang in Interzone (listen to Unknown Pleasures version);

3.I am not a musician but I think it would be easier playing bass and sing at the same time than guitar if they carried on a trio.When Gillian joined the band on rhythm guitar,Steve returned to his drums and stopped singing(thank you god),Peter stopped singing too(we only can find his voice on Dreams Never End and Doubts Even Here,thanks again god)and Bernard felt better to play and sing at the same time.

yeah it seems quite a bit easier playing the bass and singing than with the guitar, but thats just me. didnt barney do backing vocals in a few live numbers, im thinking of shes lost control live on heart and soul, i heard a high pitch wail and assumed it was barney, perhaps it was gillian hiding in steves bass drum ;)
