As I wasn't here this time last year, I have a question...

Do we have an end of year poll, to find out what NOOLs have been listening to from this year?

If not, would anyone like one?

Yes Please, that would be interesting and maybe i could find some new music to listen to. Good idea mate. :thumb:

I could compile the info, as I have nothing better to do!

I suggest something along the lines of John Peel's festive 50, i.e people vote for their three favourite songs of the year (which must have been released or been part of a radio session during 2003).

Are people interested in this idea?

Yes but it could be hard to name 3!;)

Hint: they don't have to be New Order!:)

I usually try and do a "best albums" list to end the year, with about 5 albums tops. I haven't been buying all that much music this year, though, and apart from reissues (Get Happy!) or 2002 albums I just got (The Coral's debut), I'm not even sure I'd be able to do one this year. :(

You can list the top five albums you have downloaded illegally this year

even if it doesn't have to be the order, I can't really think of 3 good songs released this year!

Well if we have a poll, you'll get lots of ideas about other stuff to check out, as voted for by fellow NO fans!:thumb:

With lots of members worldwide, we should get a pretty good spread of stuff, I think.

Good grief, if everyone votes for "Vietnam" and "Peter Saville Show", they've only got to think of one more each...

"True To Form" by Hybrid featuring Peter Hook. :p

Thank you.

(I was hoping to encourage people to admit to liking other things too!!!)

Right, well, anyway.

Having given more thought to format, I would also include favourite album of the year, as CD albums will be more widely available worldwide for people to get hold of.

Anything else people would like to see in an end of year poll?

Just kidding, Alken. My list won't feature any New Order-related material, I'm very open-minded about music. Well, sort of...

I am gonna get so much shit for this, but I actually like the White Stripes' "Seven (can't remember if it's "Man" or "Nation") Army".

I also like the Queens of the Stone Age's song (don't know the title, has Dave Grohl playing drums in the video, surely someone knows what I'm talking about)

Otherwise, I got nothing :D

Go With The Flow?

And anyway, getting shit is what we come on here for...

It's Seven Nation Army and that Queens vid you're on about is No One Knows (which I used to hate; now I think it's OK, though). Hope that helps.
