Did many of you guys receive a message todyafrom one Antonio Rocha in Spanish or Portuguese about the Strokes?

I recognised Julijana's name on the list of people it was distributed to and am concerned if someone has raided the membership area for contact e-mails.

It was in my bulk e-mail, so I just deleted it without even opening it (almost never actually look to see what's in the bulk file, but I was bored so I thought I'd satisfy my curiosity)

I got it as well. It's Portuguese from Portugal, by the way.

Sheesh, the domain neworderonline.com is banned from several ISP as a spammer.. don't ask me why... I never send mail using it but the registration confirmation and email lost...

The worst that happened is when I received a spam from myself (webmaster@neworderonline.com) at another email address, and that spam contained a virus...! and of course I never sent it!

It went straight to my junkmail box. He's blagged an old copy of the mail list though, as it went to the old erick_east address rather than the current one. The only way to beat the spammers, kids, is to keep movin' on with the e-mail addresses !! :thumb:

Os singles The Modern Age, Last Nite, Take It Or Leave It e Hard To Explain, extraídos de Is This It?, elevaram os Strokes até um patamar que dificilmente conseguirão ultrapassar com o segundo álbum.

I was wondering where that came from. I had a theory that someone I know is a big Strokes fan and had informed someone he knows from a portugese-speaking country about my adress. Weird. Wasn't even in the Spam folder. But it was small and easy to delete.

Also received it, but I didn't ask for it, didn't know the sender, and quickly deleted it, which is why I'm posting this now as I've just noticed this thread.

It is from Portugal (.pt) and the SNBPC is the portuguese fireman and civil protection service...strange, isn't, it ?

Their web site is www.snbpc.pt , but is it all in portuguese and also in construction.

This Antonio Rocha is member of NOOL, and his nickname is Tó-Bé, he is from Portugal.

Maybe some glasses of wine made this...

Does anybody have the new Strokes album? Is it any good? I have Is This It and i love it (a bit overrated though). I'm wondering if the new album is as good as the first.

I only know that the first single 12:51 is rather awful and mundane.

Bummer, hopefully the rest of the album is good. Here's hoping, i do love this band.

Maybe I am not the most qualified person to judge The Strokes since I thought their past album was awful as well  I just do not like The Strokes.
