Somebody mailed me a few weeks ago telling me he has a few records for sale.. I asked for the list and well, I'd like to know what most people here think it's worth, so I can advice this person.

Of course, I had the tought of "oh my god, here's a way to maybe make a buck or two", but my good side turned over and now I'm looking for an honest answer. I know most of the things are common, but still..

how come there are 2 different sleeves for subculture - thought it only came in plain black?

email him offering $100 us/£75 uk. the haciena flexi usually fetches between £25-£50,so the rest would be a bonus! steve:D

there's one or two there I'd be interested in but as for what they're worth I wouldn't have a clue. the criteria I apply is that if I want it bad enough I'll pay. anyway, I don't like the idea of such fragile pieces being subjected to a postie's rough treatment. hence I've never bought vinyl from anywhere other than shops/markets.

I think the Run 2 7" is worth more than the Christmas Flexi...

If there is a second sleeve for Subculture it wasn't designed by Peter Saville; the reason it came out in a plain black sleeve is because Saville hated the song and refused to design a sleeve for it (can't blame him really).

I hated the remix too but I still ended collecting these releases...not sure about the 2 covers but I collect 2 Subculture 12"s because there's 2 different labels on these vinyls - The Oz & UK ones with SUBCULTURE lettering arranged in a curve following the vinyl shape whereas the USA version has a nicer label - the titles are arranged ala LOWLIFE label but printed white lettering on black background....very cool....but very uncool mixes... :rolleyes:

I've got the Australian release then. Perhaps it's just the lettering that make the two different.

Not played it for ages, but I think that US 12" is slightly more interesting than just the different label. First, Dub-vulture is rather bizarrely called "Subvulture", and there is an edited version of Sub-culture on there that is different to the UK 7".

There is also a German one with the label negated (white on black, rather than black on white) if you want to get really anal about it!

...thanks, Old Blue...I vaguely remember the USAversion has additional track...too lazy to dig it up, its somewhere amongst my collection.....now that you've showed me that German label...damn!,,i gotta hunt that one down now....:(

I guess he got the collection through someone.. a brother that died, I have no idea.. but I'm pretty confident he's not the New Order fan, hence the error, and hence selling it!

Correct. The US 12" edit is the version found on "Substance".

Well, there are too many items to individually price them. However, have a check at a price guide that me and some other newOrderities put together a loooong time ago (pre-eBay). It may give you a hint...
