41 times. First at Brixton 1982. Best gig..Cent London Polytechnic if only for Atmosphere. Your a lucky bastard Mike..but then I have already told you that before - seeing them in 1981 - well impressive!!! David

btw, back to the post topic - I saw NO only 3 times - Sydney Enmore Theatre 1987, Sydney Selinas 1987 & Sydney Hordern Pavilion 2002.

....oh, saw Kraftwerk too, only this year - Sydney Enmore Theatre 2003......and I'm sure Ralf looked a bit bored at one stage and that new guy, I think I saw him surfing the net on his laptop throughout the concert.....

I've seen New Order zero-point-zero times. But I blame the band for not touring the U.S. more. It's much more convenient than blaming myself for instead going to see Depeche Mode at the same venue they played about five days later on the Area One tour, and then not going to see them in Vancouver.

Spotnick. At least you got a room. I remember spending long and cold nights at every fuckin train station up and down the country from Glasgow to St.Austell!! Euston Station from memory was the best as it was slightly warmer than the other London ones!! But I would not have changed it for the world!!

Margate beach Dave - that's livin' alright !! Portsmouth was good - blagged a caravan. Cars were very useful on non-train nights :)

Was only 17 when I first saw them and spent most (if not all) my Uni grant on following them. Where I was going to sleep that night was the last thing on my mind, it was just great to be holding the ticket for the gig!! I remember I used to hang around inside the venue until the bitter end just so I would not have to face the cold night!! I remember Barney chatting about this to me at Doncaster at some stupid hour in the morning, most of the kit had already been packed away ready for the Macc gig the next night. I think he was mildly impressed with the fact that I had travelled so far to see them, but I was not alone on that score..was I!! He did'nt offer me a lift though but did ask if I wanted one of his bannanas he was eating!!!!

try getting a train back from malvern to derby at 1 in the morning..( try getting a train from malvern any time ?? )

we mostly had a car but my station hotels were the above mentioned malvern, manchester piccadily,and bradford.

nowadays if im not in bed before midnight im struggling the next day !!!

Euston now kick you out after the last train leaves at about 1.30, and don't let you in until about 5am, the bastards: I know from bitter experience. Kipping on railways stations is increasingly a thing of the past 'cos of security etc., though me an my mate did grab a few hours kip at Liverpool Lime Street after the Olympia & 'aftershow' - more lager-induced than anything - the station staff were taking the piss out of us, sweat-soaked and bleary eyed as we were!!

It did help living 8 miles from Malvern ! There are trains every week from Malvern to London actually ;)
