Has everyone pre-ordered this??

I've bagsed mine with Amazon, but am having second thoughts: does anyone know the design of the poster/t-shirt? Am a being a sucker forking out more money for records I've already go (and recordings I've had on good old C90s since the late-80s)?

Or is this just the price of love?????????????

Absolutely no intention of buying it at all ! Not when there are several other mixers out there they could have released.....

Whatever record company is releasing this is ripping us off. The other two live CDs already available were re-released at a discount price earlier this year, so I bought them then. Now I have to fork out thiry odd quid four one "new" live CD, that already has tracks taken from it on the other two discs!

Of course, now I'll find I don't have every officially released Joy Division recording, but if the people making this CD want to make more money, they should just release the new disc on its own - I'd certainly buy it then, but not as a small part of an expensive "box set".

I wasn't going to bother, but the Mrs wanted to know what to get me for Christmas, and that was all I could think of (mind you, I hadn't seen the New Order coasters at that point...)

Have the same misgivings as all of you, the main one being that the sound quality of the Paradiso tracks on Les Bains is pretty stinky.

I'll wager that the sound quality on the new Paradiso won't be as good as the one I've had for 23+ years, which still sounds as good as new. I'll stick with my original (and the CD version that Jan did me recently). Not as if the sleeve notes are remotely interesting on these rehash ripoff CDs after all, is it ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having serious doubts: the question is, do I go with my head and boycott this exploitative crap, or do I just give in to my lame consumerist heartstrings which REALLY WANT THAT POSTER!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not bothering. I didn't initially bother with Les Bains Douches or Preston, my GF bought me LBD for Valentine's Day this year and I got Preston for £7.99 6 months ago. I have had Paradiso for years, having bought it on CD at HMV Oxford Street.

If I had none of them, I probably would splash out.

I'd love to be able to buy the poster apart from all the other "box set stuff" (couldn't care less), but you can't do that apparently. Bastards....:nonono: :mad2:

Well I'm not buying it. My heart says yes, obviously, but my head says rip-off. I'm sure the Paradiso CD will come out separately just as the first two have been re-issued already. I do hope that we're not going to see a JD/NO re-issue strategy similar to the ridiculous one that has happened with The Fall. The Fall are prolific enough just with original material but they must have doubled their discography with compilations & live albums in the last 5 years. I've just seen something else that pisses me off too. The first 5 Echo & the Bunnymen albums re-issued with extra tracks. Why can't they just put the extras on a single compilation for those who already have the originals. And they wonder why people turn to downloading for free on file shares?

The Bunnymen albums are supposed to be "Remastered". About half of the bonus cuts were on their Crystal Days box set from a few years ago so I'll probably only buy a couple of these new reissues.
