Come on then people, give us an idea of what you'd like us to learn for the forthcoming live extravaganza. The JD/NO song that has the most recommendations will be learned, rehearsed and unleashed on the public !
Any requests ?

Funny you should mention Truth. Jim and I did a version (with Marty Gray) at Homage last year - it can be found on this very site here and here. We'd love to do it again, that's for sure. maybe slightly more true to the original this time.

Yes, it will already be part of the set.
NOVELTY would be a dream as not only do i love this track but a NEW LIVE thumping take would be brilliant.Come on TIM ..you KNOW you can do it justice.

We've rehearsed it a couple of times, it kicks ass ! We've kept the same format as the original, but with a bit heavier guitar, slightly thicker sound. Will be good, he says optimistically. ![]()

Sounds just what i was looking for.I have always admired the guitar work on this track.Plus the lyrics always meant so much. Can't wait to hear this TIM.
Cheers Rocket Mick
I've always thought that a fuzzed out Chosen Time would be cool. Something where the synth part is played on a psychocandy-sounding guitar. Of course I won't be able to see you over there so you could just tell me that you already do the most phenomenal version ever![]()

I'll go with Lonesome Tonight...along with Thieves Like Us...
Something Must Break should be one. Never recorded live.
BTW, NO never played it live?? I think it's a shame...
I always liked These Days. The bass lines are great.
Tim.. seriously, there are many songs never played live, maybe you should give those a try? :D
Digital also definitely deserves an outing. Maybe even (especially towards the end of the song) with lots of reverb on the guitar, à la Dave Fielding of the Chameleons, to enhance the sense of claustrophobia.

Thieves Like Us will definitely be in the set, as will Digital and Ice Age. Haven't tried Chosen Time yet, but will consider it. Tricky without six-string bass though ! We do Lonesome Tonight, but it sounds shite as the guitar is too overloaded and the Reilly monster keeps forgetting the bassline changes towards the end, so it goes on for about ten minutes !
I've done the sequencer tracks for Young Offender, but we have yet to rehearse it.
We're thinking of one better than that though, with some songs written in collaboration with Ian Curtis !

Rehearsed it once so far, doubt it'll be part of the set to start with, but you never know.
Seriously, it'd be nice to see a Get Ready track, but nobody told Ceremony/In A Lonely Place here ;)
