Can't say that I'm a fan, although I have seen 'em live a few times.
But Tim Booth has announced he's leaving the band.
And they're planning to continue.
Surely they won't be the same beat combo without him?

Oh no... yet another band from almost our era splitting up. Soon we'll have nothing left except that mini 80's collective that are doing the rounds.
James = Timmy Booney and a gang load of misfits hanging on for dear life. Once he's left the building, the others may as well sink beneath the earth (again).
poor james, can`t see them lasting much longer, without tim and without sales. anyway best of luck to them.
James are a good band - Laid, Seven, Sound, the first half of the Millionaires album are all cracking. In fact 'Just Like Fred Astaire' is one of the best love songs of all time in my humble opinion. The fact that I nicked some of the lyrics for a Valentines card once has nothing to do with it of course.
Fuckin' fantastic band, great singles, not bad albums, but without Tim Booth it'll be cheerio chappies I'm afraid :headoff:
Perhaps Tim Booth has decided to focus on his 'other' career - writing for the Leeds Utd magazine.
That would be friggin' right - NO return and James, the only band holding my interest between Republic and Get Ready, get dropped from their label and loose their singer. Typical!
