If New Order had split up and never got back together would you trade all the New Order spin off projects for just one more album of new material in their back catalogue?
i.e. imagine that Electronic, Monaco etc never existed, but it prolonged the life of New Order by one more album.
Personally, I think that some really good stuff has come out of the side projects, so I'd be happy to stick with what we've got. Any thoughts?
give me new new order product over the spin off stuff every time. the spin offs on the whole have different facets of the new order sound, but they are just not the same
Not really anything to dispute.NEW ORDER are the MAIN group.The rest we enjoyed only in their absence.Still would prefer GILLIAN to be with them though!Getting to be like GENESIS...AND THEN THERE WERE THREE!:D
Not to sound like a broken record, but I too would prefer another New Order album as opposed to side projects. Get Ready sounded more like a band about to make a return to music, not a band doing one more album before calling it quits. There's nothing nostalgic about it, it makes me want more from them. 
I think the big question here is: If Joy Division split up, would you trade in all the stuff from all of the subsequent bands for one more Joy Division album?
I know I would.
