Apparently Dave Molly's gonna be in the area for this one ... soooo, if anyone sees a 6ft4 English bonehead with a Para tattoo on his right forearm, be afraid, be very afraid. :)

Actually, just editing this a few hours later to mirror Ness's comments in the 'Exclusive' thread at the top of the page - Dave can be contacted on ddjmolly@yahoo.com and him and his Mrs are keen to meet up with any NOOLers going along. Well worth listening to a few of his stories!

Drop Mr Molyneux a line, Grahame as he's gonna be in town the same time - he's the lad who led Mr Scott many miles astray on New Order's US tour in 89!

Christ! Heard all the gory details about that jaunt. Have I met him before (Finsbury?). I'll make a point of making contact.

No, he's not done New Order since 1989. He's lived in Florida for a few years now, but is up in Noo Yoik for Hybrid with his Mrs.

He clocked up 142 gigs by 1989, mind!

Easy to spot: 6ft4 bonehead with a para tattoo on his inner arm. Top bloke though (and a Luton supporter so a top bloke on two counts!!!)..

Nervous about tickets now. Where can I buy them in New York? no point in trying the website as I'm guessing they mail the tickets to your home (no use).

And another thing.....are Hybrid any good?!! And is Hooky just guestin on a couple of tracks or is he there for the whole show? And will I make my 6AM flight to Vegas on Sunday morning?

Any help appreciated.

Most places has will call, so if you bought them online, you can pick them up at the club. Did you contact Spotnick if he had some passes still available? I believe he needs to notify the PR person from the club by the 26th if anyone was to claim the passes.

I just emailed the PR person to ask if Hooky will there the whole show.

They're alright, but you'll only find Hooky on two tracks (mind, they both go on a bit - True To Form's over 10mins long live!).

This is the email i got back from the PR person:

Advance Tickets online at www.NextTicketing.com. Since the show is this week, I think it is will-call. Double-check on the site.

I believe Hook is playing for only select songs.

I'm sorry, but if that's true it's absolutely disgusting, and I would call for all NOOLiners to boycott said venue.

Unless, as I suspect, it's at the instigation of all-raping, all-pillaging Cap'n Hook.;)

Found out that Avalon used to be The Limelight which I visited a good few times in the early 90's when I worked upstate in Montauk for a summer. It was full of really young and really pissed boys and attracted a lot of attention from the cops as a result. Think it was shut down more than once.

Reckon the age thing is probably just to deter the same problematic crowd.

Kim and I actually frequented the said Limelight venue the evening after NO played Meadowlands back in 1989. I can remember there being this tiny Chinese grub house less than a block away to the right and it was chuffing delicious (and cheap). DM

'Reckon the age thing is probably just to deter the same problematic crowd' Well. They will most certainly have a different problematic crowd this weekend. Especially if The Viking tries any of that Woody business again!
