Have some more questions regarding some US 89 shows:

have recently got a couple of soundboard shows, purporting to be BOTH Cuyahoga Falls Blossom Music Center 5 July 1989 AND Chicago Estates 30 June 1989. These are the same gig with slightly different edits between songs. Tracklisting is: Round & Round Dream Attack Ceremony Run (Barney mentions the new wave /punk version?) True Faith Mr Disco Every Little Counts 1963 Vanishing Point Temptation Perfect Kiss Bizzare Blue Monday Fine Time

Any ideas as to which gig this may be?

ALSO, is there a definitive date for the Clarkston, Detroit gig that year, either 1st or 17th July?

Detroit gig was in July 17th 1989.

Good point. Just listened to Run on both gigs, and it seems as though they are two recordings of the same show, the comments are identical, and I cannot believe Barney would say exactly the same things before, during and after the same song twice.

Clarkston was scheduled for 1 July 89, but was postponed until 17 July 89. Like many of Stash's dates etc, it is listed wrongly on his recording.

WR has the given setlist matched up with the Cuyahoga Falls gig. I'm not sure if I trust WR's Chicago setlist....No BM, for instance. :)

I think a certain 'Manager of New Order' also passed comment on this when tapes were supplied for Retro?! ;)

As for Detroit, ask Dave Molly about this one next time he's around. The most calamitous tale to get to Detroit on time for the gig ... only for it to be cancelled!
