Gigography inconsistencies 2001-2

There are a *lot* more inconsistencies here than I expected, though only one is with reference to dates. The rest involve setlists.

2001

011008 Barrowlands - Glasgow, Scotland

WIM repreats setlist for 011007 Barrowlands. WR, in comparison, has LWTUA and Transmission swapped, with no encore. I think WR is correct here, as the NOOL listing is in agreement.

011111 and 011112 Olympia - Paris

WIM has the sixth song as "Slow Jam" for both nights. WR doesn't list this.

011115 Columbiahalle - Berlin

WIM has the fourteenth (last pre-encore) song as "Atmosphere", which neither WR nor NOOL does.

011118 Cirkus - Stockholm

Like with the Paris dates, WIM lists "Slow Jam" as song #6. Neither WR or NOOL do.

2002

WIM has 020622 as Hurricane Festival and 020623 as Southside Festival. WR has these the other way around (Southside on the 22nd and Hurricane on the 23rd). NOOL agrees with WR. WIM lists Close Range as the eighth song for Southside, which WR omits. NOOL agrees with WIM here, but lists Rock The Shack in the encore set (between Digital and Blue Monday) even though the scan of the setlist right above doesn't include this song! For Hurricane, the WR and WIM setlists match, but NOOL has "Atmosphere" in the place of "Brutal".

020625 Landsdown Road - Dublin

Each source has a somewhat divergent setlist.

WIM: #6 Atmosphere #7 Close Range #8 She's Lost Control #9 Bizarre Love Triangle WR: #6 Brutal #7 She's Lost Control #8 Bizarre Love Triangle #9 True Faith

NOOL agrees with WIM.

020629 Roskilde FEstival

WIM lists the eighth song as "Close Range". WR does not. NOOL does.

Okay, so WR 1-0 over WIM. Oops, I should stop that silliness. Re the lack of encore, If I remember correctly, there definitely was a reason, but nothing that was deemed suitable for public consumption by those close to the band who decided a secret was something best shared with at least one other person.

For the two Paris dates Slow Jam never appeared. Defo. Atmosphere and YSF in the slow section.

Chalk up two more for WR. I guess the temptation to use the Apollo gigs as a template was too great to resist.

Can't comment on Atmosphere in Berlin but surely it had already appeared earlier in the set? Can't see them doing it twice.. .

And thanks for all the links. I realize now I could have simply used the "search" facility and come up with this myself, but one point of the exercise is to have others double-check me.

The setlist 'proper' for the Hurricane included additional songs (Close Range, True Faith, Rock The Shack from memory) but there was a torrential thunderstorm which delayed New Order's set by over an hour and the stage was basically flooded with water so they cut back on the tracks. Roger Lyons told us they were mere minutes from pulling the set entirely. The gigs were originally listed as Southside first then Hurricane (and we booked our flights accordingly!) but the dates were reversed! Grrrr.

Interesting that WIM is the only one that gets it right...true for the other 2002 gigs as well...I think it can be safe to say that a lot of people had trouble keeping things straight with the near-identical setlists.
