I know that the "Touched" CD Single had a tracklisting error that Temptation was the "original version"
. Does anyone know of any other particular errors? I know that the early VHS videos showed old track names.

Yeah, both Taras and Pumped Full Of Drugs had songs titled differently than the releases.
There's the classic. Substance disc 2 listing "Mesh" instead of "Cries And Whispers".
And there is always the very large run of blue monday made with the labels on the wrong side.
for some reason 316 repeated the 'icb' / 'chosen time' error but corrected the use of denial's working title, why? is it just sloppiness or have they forgotten which is which (in barney's case it will be this)
The american import 12" of Shellshock (on A&M),has labelled the b.side as Thieves Like Us. Its actually the instrumental on the flip of Murder. i know im being pretty anal but its wrong. as is ruining Sav`s sleeve and advertising Pretty In Pink on the back.![]()
I never recovered from 24 HOURS missing from STILL.Hadn't
noticed the A&M mistake for TLU.HELP![]()

The French International lists the version of Round And Round on the bonus disk as the Kevin Saunderson mix, when it is in fact the regular 12" version.
True Faith CDV lists track 3 as True Faith 7 Inch, it is in fact an edited version of the Pettibone remix.
Blue Monday 88 CDV lists track 2 as Beach Buggy when in reality it is the "DJ Only" or sometimes called "Dub" version.
Not sure if this qualifies, but there is a misspress of JD's LWTUA 12". The single has BM on one side, even though the sleeve clearly says Love Will Tear Us Apart... :)

OI!!! That's perty cool actually. Hey, I've got a Here to Stay CD single...EU/UK me thinks and it lists that Track 3 is The SCUMFROG DUB when in fact it is just a repeat of track 2...THEE EXTENDED MIX.![]()
Do promos count? I've a 1988 Qwest 12" promo (PRO-A-3037) for BM that has on side 1 "BLUE MONDAY (CLUB MIX)" with the TBTHOG REMIX and DUB on side 2. Now...this club mix shite, they should no better than that!! It's just the plain jane orginal version of BM from 83. ![]()
Didn't the TBTHOG CD single release have a misprint on it? It contained TEMPTATION 87 version but it had printed on the sleeve ORIGINAL 12" VERSION...I think.
I've got it here somewhere but I'm lazy.![]()
Don't know if this is rare (someone please tell me) but my original vinyl copy of Unknown Pleasures has the "Inside" and "Outside" labels on the wrong sides.

My Japanese & Italian (I don't have the orginal UK yet)copies of that has the same thing.![]()

Well, then we mush conclude then that it is not a mistake but rather a bit of genius/madness on the part of Peter Saville. ![]()

Only just noticed this one, the uk promo cd sleeve of Regret is labelled as 7"mix & Neworder mix on the sleeve, along with the Fire Island mix & Junior dub mix, while the cd itself is labelled correctly as Radio edit, running at 3.52 (is this exclusive to the promo?) & the 7"mix. I thought the sleeve was just a release one but it doesn`t have the inner artwork.
My polish copy of Substance says on the cover it includes the Cowboy video!
Bizzare but there aint not cowboy video on the CD's that i've managed to find!!!
My Japanese copy of the 'Round & Round' CD-EP has the Detriot mix, and also the 7" version of "Best & Mash".
My Peel Sessions CD - (the 1990 complete pressing) lists all eight tracks, but there are only four tracks on the disc - (the second session).
My Sub-culture 12" has Sub-culture and Dub-vulture listed as the tracks, but both sides are full of unintelligible rubbish with whooos and whoas everywhere.

I would like to add that the section of my Republic CD which is supposed to contain some track known as "Times Change" is filled with bollocks also!

And let me add that both of "The Other Two's" albums sound like toilets being flushed for an hour ![]()
Seriously the singles are quite harmless but the albums are... ![]()
I bought a CD clearly labelled the Best of New Order and it didn't have Ceremony, Temptation or quite frankly many of their best songs. ![]()
Originally posted by The Paradise Man To be honest, Sub-culture 12" and Times Change are pretty damn good.
