Ay Carumba! Who are these people? Why are they allowed to go online and spout such specious claptrap? Have they nothing better to ... oh wait.

I'm surprised someone could walk out halfway through last year's Move set proclaiming New Order as 'boring shit'. Whether you like 'em or not, you could hardly call New Order live 'boring', certainly not when they're on one, as they were in Manchester that night.

Mind, his Mum was probably collecting him at the gates.

Cunter.

I've seen the Cure live, so I've seen boring...

BUT, they do play a lot longer though... too bad New Order never tried a 22 songs set with extended versions of their own song in there.. ;)

That would be torture - you can only listen to so many bum notes. 90 mins is too long, an hour plus an optional encore is far better. It gets a bit warm down the front, and we ain't getting any younger!

bunch of looneys  if anything DM and PSB owe their existance to New Order, I've been to a DM concert and I nearly fell asleep... agreed with the post that 'Anyone who says New Order are 'boring shite' should be hung from the balls.'

Dunno about Depeche Mode owing their existence to New Order but they sure as hell owe their change of image from geeky schoolkids to the leather jackets and metal bashing look to a band called SPK. I think they were on 'The Tube' the same week and Depeche Mode's image change happened very shortly afterwards...and the bloke from SPK was more than a little bit miffed about it!

Hi folks...

...I like Alan Wilder, the mastermind and idea-bringer of that poor group (have u all ever heard his solo-projoct RECOIL ? - it's fantastic !), but I hate this drug-junkie M. L. Gore, this poor type of a guy...

...and I also like Neil Tennant, when he's getting inspired by Bernard, and I'm neutral to Rob Lowe (does he ever a solo thing ?)...

...but overall stands NEW ORDER...

Greetz, Floyd Anderson.

each to their own, I'd say. If everybody shared the same opinion, the world would be dull place

I think most of the stuff on that thread makes sense apart from 'Harnk' who keeps repeating himself. You've got to remember NME is a kids mag nowadays, most of whom will not have given NO a second listen, mine don't, and PSB and DM have been more consistently popular (in the public eye) more recently. Floyd calling a member of another band a 'drug-junkie' is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black - there for the grace of god (or constitution)go Barney or Hooky.

...I apologize 4 the drug-junkie (I was emotional), even I don't like that guy in any way...

Floyd.

Erm... that'll be Chris Lowe, Floyd. I think Rob Lowe is that awful Brat-Pack actor.

Isn't he back on TV? But, although he appeared in the Outsiders, he still is kind of annoying.

...and it was dave gahan that liked drugs anyway (but not now)

Why should we be upset by what a bunch of NME-reading DM fans think anyway ? The magazine is useless and irrelevant now.
