Not sure if this has been a thread before, but came across it as I was surfing at work (Xmas time you know).

then Jamie and the Magic Torch and the guess what comment:

"In the sweltering heat of the summer of 1976 one of the artists working on the series forgot to add a substance to the paint which meant that it would not stick to the animation cells. Every cell had to be scraped clean and repainted. The guilty artist? None other than Bernard Sumner who went on to play in the rock bands Joy Division and New Order."

Hahaha, nice one, Paul. After a quick search on Google I found "Bernard Dickin" credited as one of the drawners.

It's well known that Barney used to work at Cosgrove Hall Animation isn't it? One of the copying machines he used was manufactured by a company called Albrecht, hence...
