Seeing as Milan 82 is doing the rounds, here is the Sparks original version.

...and far better it is too!

In anticipation of the weeded disc arriving some time this week (it came through today, Clive... see the other thread! Thanks a lot), I actually went on a Sparks shopping spree last week, and bought a best of (which has the single version of the track) + a copy of the 'Terminal Jive' LP (which has the album version + an instrumental). By that time, the band had developed quite a bit from "This Town Ain't Big Enough..."!

...on an electronic tip, everyone should own the 'number 1 song' album and associated 12"s, with excellent tracks such as 'beat the clock', 'number one song in heaven' and 'tryouts for the human race' (all done with the help of giorgio moroder)

and I recommend the 'Lil Beethoven' lp (released last year) which is awesome. Saw them live in London which was also excellent.

The Festival Hall gig? Me and Johnny G were persuaded along to that one at the last minute when ATR & chums were in town. I was gutted they didn't play When I'm With You that night.

Has anyone got a copy of Lou Reed's Ostrich? I'd like to hear how that one pans out.. .

Got that album earlier in the year, it's fantastic, can't believe Giorgio Moroder had anything to do with it.
