On Christmas Eve, BBC Radio 6 played two songs from an unknown gig in 1984 (some people on here will probably be able to tell which gig!) of New Order - Age Of Consent and Temptation.
You can hear the gig for a week from this link here, select the 'Listen Now' button where it says 'CAN plus support' and fast forward to roughly 30 minutes in, and enjoy!

Shame they got the quote wrong though! Barney says "An atmospheric song in an un-atmospheric place", and he's talking about IALP that they've just finished, not introducing Temptation.
As well as arriving late for the performance, one of their sequencers had packed up so they couldn't play what they had originally planned.

Yeah, makes much for sense as an intro to IALP than to Temptation. May be worth writing to cerysmatic@clara.net to get them to correct it.

....the performance is one of their funniest ever, watch as things go wrong (guitars out of tune, barney playing things in the wrong key, levels wrong), you can see his temper rising all the while, he first takes it out on steve, then his guitar, then the silly foam thing on his microphone. great stuff!
Agreed. Definitely one of the best Live versions, if not THE.
