joy division - refractured box set

i got nmy joy division refractured box set today. my box number is 1617 out of 3,000. its a bit crappy really for the price,i expected 3 individual cds in the box,instead i got preston ,paradiso "added" to the les bains douches cd in a double case with no paradiso artwork. The les bains douches tour poster is only a4 size. you could never put it up or anything like that as its been folded many times and looks as if its been industrially ironed! the t shirt is extra large,black with "refractured" printed on it,it looks as if the print would come off after a few spins in the washing machine! the box it self is cubed,a bit bigger than a cd album. all in all i feel a bit ripped off,but i guess i knew i would be! i suppose it adds to my copllection,sad i know! i"ll send the webmaster some snaps of the items then we can get them on "our" site before you know who puts some snaps on his site! regards.

Thanks for the info. That's interesting about the Paradiso artwork. The original threads about this "thing" (that included links to some pictures) showed new artwork for the Paradiso CD. I guess it became a casualty of the legal troubles.

I guess it became a casualty of the legal troubles. no problem. i"m gonna get send the snaps of the box and its contents to the site,hopefully the webmasters will use them, then people who didnt buy it can see what its like. regards

And... did you actually listen to the discs as well?

i havent had time to listen to them yet! i alrerady got les bains and preston so have heard them before,i"ll listen to paradiso sometime today.

got mine today, a small 6x6" box delivered in a huge 24x16" inch box first time something new was delivered and I failed to get excited about it. If they issue a box two, I'll not bother

My box is number 1226. I'm a bit disappointed by the T-shirt: nothing refers to JD. A "concept T-shirt" for JD fans only, especially made to enable them to recognize each other (a kind of secret society?) or a problem of rights to use the name of JD, as said in one of the posts above?

Mr Saville always said he wanted NO record buyers to be able to recognise the band's records without having the name on them, perhaps this is intended to continue this idea (except in the dumb ol' USA of course, where they had to put stickers on everything). Perhaps if any American NOOLers are wearing the T shirt they might want to stick a sticker on the front saying "This is a Joy Division T Shirt" or something. ;)

yep, the t shirt is definately something that is not directly "connected" with officialish joy division releases. but i look at it this way,the 3,00 "mugs",myself included have just made history! i"m gonna buy another set and sell it to the sultan of bling for $5000 in ten years time,think about it! p.s to the webmaster,pictures to follow soon honest!

i wonder if any of the noolers out there have any of the earlier numbered box sets,say 1-100. the question is who has box one! the sultan doesnt have one yet,this i know cos he emailed me for the info!

I liked the T shirt...but it wasnt worth the $$ for the whole box set....they should have called it "scammed" instead of refractured.

The next time NO do a gig we should all wear our Refracture t-shirts and have a good moan in the bar.
