Who does What in the Order?

I know all the band members get credit for writing/composing the songs, but does one band member do more than the others? Or is the contribution generally equal? Kamar

For the majority of songs, Bernard writes the melody (and adds lyrics to the finished song). Hooky writes the bassline, Steve writes the percussion.

Apparently so, yes.

at the peter saville show (first talk) in london, he said that the lyrics for your silent face were written one line at a time in random. threr was a piece of paper in the studio & the memebers of the band used to add lines on an ad-hoc basis!
