Some of you may remember the now legendary Bennylux tour of July 2003, when the Cobweb Eyes hit Belgium and its beer stocks quite heavily.

Bloody hell Tim. I never realised you were so short. That beer we were drinking that time was indeed on the strong side!

That's why most of us were in wheelchairs by the time the photo was taken, of course. Our pub holders know how to pamper their customers. I'm still sorry there weren't any left for you, Tim.:D

Ok, I can understand why Tim married her, but can anyone understand why she did it? :skeptic:

:D

No hard feeling, it was only meant to be a bad joke ;)

Something to do with the RFH title of the Perfect Kiss, I think. Or my ability to spend 27 hours a day here and still do my job !

If I'm not wrong, the bottles on the picture are bottles of "De Koninck" beer (a local beer called "bolleke" in Antwerp). Not that strong actually, although I can imagine that it is for you British people :D...

Someone talked about Duvel beer. That's indeed a strong one :thumb:, yet not to be seen on the picture.

Think they were Leffe blonde actually - that's what Karen and Jan were drinking. I was between the Duvel and the deep blue sea ;) - the glass in the far right was something else that began with a W.

No, that's Westmalle - a trappist beer (that is, a type of beer that is brewed in a handful of abbeys only) that exists in dark & blond variations. But on the night just about any glass was used to give us our fill :)
