As my selections in the Album tracks thread were as popular as Morrissey at a Madness concert ...

This is the first part of a new feature to find the favourite NO track of all time! I will poll each album in turn, then the remaining singles (the ones not on albums!) and finally polling all the winners to find the favourite track.

Note: I will be using the UK versions of the albums and the UK released singles only! But will include Murder as an exception!

Don't be so hard on yourself! The choices were fine (except the lack of Elegia, grumble, moan) and at least I felt better about the whole Dream Attack thing!

I've gone for "Denial" because it rocks (ish).

We did this about a year ago......it would be interesting to see if the results have changed now though as the site attracts more new members.

I'll tell you now though that my answer for this album has changed - been rehearsing a couple of songs off it, and the one is now growing on me 23 years down the line !

Well, it can't really be favorite track of all time, because it's a poll limited to NOOLers. Sales would, in my opinion, show a different result. The number one selling 12 inch single of all time just isn't going to rate very high here, is it?

I dunno - just a poll :thumb: . Anyway forgot to mention - each album will get about 3 days (depending on when I am able to get on my computer!).

Gawd bless Cap'n Hook singing like a shoutin' Australian.

The winner of this poll will be Dreams Never End. At least it was when we did it a while back.

I'm pleased to be back to being the only one voting for "last track on album" again!

Roll on Technique!

Went for DNE, still think Movement's a remarkably underrated album - knock off the last 2 tracks, throw on Ceremony, IALP, EGG and Procession and I reckon we've got a stone-cold classic on our hands pop-pickers. I've also always been quite shocked as to how offensive most people seem to find The Him; not too bad IMHO.

I want to heap lots of praise upon you for picking Denial, as it is fabulous and perhaps the most underrated New Order song here. (Not because people think it's rubbish, so much as it never seems to get mentioned.)

Having said that, few things ever recorded can compete with the majesty of DNE, so I went for that.

Can I make an early prediction that in the end it'll be a bitch fight between Ceremony, Temptation and Perfect Kiss with lots of tactical voting?

At least Slippy didn't do all the polls at the same time. ;)

Praise duly noted, ta!

I like DNE, but it doesn't finish properly IMHO. It kind of tails of. One of THE best New Order intros though. I'll carry on with my rear guard action now, thank you very much.

I have never ever understood why so many people go on about Dreams Never End. After the first ten seconds it is crap !

Chosen Time in front of Doubts Even Here:)

It looks as though Dreams Never End is gonna do it. I will post the next poll now as I am working my ass off tommorrow and won't get time.

Doubts Even Here, as usual. I really don't get why nobody likes this song.

Mines is Truth......a sinister opus of layered keyboards with some magnificent guitars & effects.

Chosen Time although The Him was second due to the version they played at East Leagues Club 1985. Chosen Time should be reintroduced into the set. Mind you after hearing the version Tim posted perhaps not!

Funny, for the past 23 years I've had Dreams Never End down as an automatic favourite. Anyway, so I play the album today remind me of the others and DNE whilst melodic, just sounds a bit boring and lame. A toss up then between Chosen Time and Doubts Even Here, DEH gets it.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Chosen Time. Though I doubt it'll win. That's fine, I doubt any of my choices would win from all of the albums, but they're all on the mix CD that's in my car.:D

I always thought DNE had a fantastic intro but the rest of the song was quite dull & repetitive.

Dreams Never End, closely followed by Truth.
