I'm talking about the time period. The songs then were alot more guitar-oriented. The point of comparison is not with production values, lyrics, or precise instrumentation, but with style. Slow Jam is an old style song reminscent of the 1980-81 period.

Ceremony you could possibly make a case for, if you had a really really shit hot lawyer! Dead Souls i'm not buying at all, no way!! And anyway, WTF do these two songs have to cock-a-doodle-do with Movement?? :smoking:

Like the bit about the shit hot lawyer:lol:

Martin, this is very funny, but a bit difficult to decipher. I can figure out a few, but others I am having trouble with.

You're relatively new here aren't you? Well, the reason is, blame the influence of Huntsman. And if you don't know who Huntsman is (1300+ posts and counting), then what are you doing here???!!!!

I love Slow Jam, for me it's one of the best tracks on the album and for the life of me I just don't get why it seems to attract all this bad press, I see plenty people lambasting the song, but not many coming up with any reason!!

:smoking:

Because its dog shit.

The following people have submitted their votes, which brings the number of entries up to 18: Buster Klumpy, Shug, myself, Jim Giliberto, See-Ye Tan, Marco Pleil, Seb Briggs, Joe Schalk, Sophisticated (Lady), Scott, Taboo #7, Patrick, Jeff White, Talbs, Coen van der Voort, Martin Gray, brian geoghagan, and Huntsman. If you or anyone you know is not on this list, urge them to vote. (Muffy, I notice that you're not on here.) Remember, if the list is incomplete (i.e., it does not list all ten songs), then it cannot be used.

Mine IS on there, it lists three songs first equal, and seven songs fourth equall. I'm quite sure you have the ability to do the math and award them the points accordingly! :smoking:

Muffy, I can't give three songs 10 points each. One has to be 10, one 9, and one 8. You're going to have to make some decisions.

David, please don't put me under pressure like this! It's hard enough trying to decide whether to enter my Minx's temple by the front door or the back door! But for you i'll try, bear with me. :smoking:

Afrikakakakakakakaka John Bonham,I think we're gonna get along like a house on fire. :D

Erm...that's a wee bit of a strong statement isn't it? I mean...I love RTS, but not a single soul has ever accused me of having any taste of any type.

I'm not sure if Rock the Shithouse is very tasteful is it?... which means people who like it may have a problem in tasting hot foods. If you don't like it, you already must have decent taste through default.

It's the people who enjoy Slow Down that I worry about... these people have most probably had a frontal labotamy without noticing.

Ooooh I love this!! Over and over again this discussion.

Rock the shack. Brilliant versus shite. Slow Jam. Some like it, some not... (you know, the lyrics are really fantastic. Just think of text like this, haha! Run Wild, the critics have softened somewhat.

YEAH!!

I'll post my list this evening. The idea of points and calculating an 'average' list of favorites is quite nice. So hopefully more people will also decide to post it.

...to be continued...

You know, it's often these love-hate sort of tunes that really do well on the charts. I don't know about the UK, but here in the States I am confident that if it were released as a single, "Slow Jam" would place higher than any other single off of this CD. Hey, I never liked "The Reflex," but look how well it did.

Are you trying to stir the poopoo Huntsy baby?? Slow Jam is a belter and no mistake!! And if you think any bird could administer a blowjob to the Muffbox without him noticing, you are very much mistaken, I hope!! :p

RTS as a single I could understand, but Slow Jam would be an embarassment

What about just a T-Shirt with this on the front:

and on the back:

A picture of a public shithouse covered in... shit (and piss).

I think, what Huntsman is indeed trying to say, is that he is not too fond of Rock the Shack....
