Selling NEW ORDER by the Pound?

I have just realized that i have never sold a NEW ORDER record or CD in my entire life.Some records i have owned have been traded or sold from time to time.But with NEW ORDER i have never been able to sell them on E-BAY.If i have had a copy then i have given it away but the thought of selling some NEW ORDER merchandize is so alien to me that i could not do it.Have you ever done so and more importantly have you had a few REGRETS.Time to own up peeps!

I haven't sold any NO on ebay. But I do have many, many regrets.

Well Mr Rocket, I'm about to help my mate Andy from Stoke-on-Trent make some dosh by selling some of his New Order CD collection. The most sought after item is the BlueMonday 88 CD he doesn't want, but apparently some bloke from California - Fenn is his name or summat (posts as DreamsAlwaysEnd) - is desperately after it - so I'm waiting for his reply to my email which I sent him nearly a fortnight ago, perhaps he's on holiday at the moment? He's not popped up on the forum lately.

Also, my wife Lorraine dared me to sell off my entire NO and JD collection so we could raise a bit of cash to have a new fitted extension to our bathroom but I told her to go stick her entire Smiths vinyl and tape collection in the local Oxfam racks and see if she bloody well likes it...... do you think I did the right thing there then Rocket man? ;)

Two weeks ago I bought a copy of Technique vinyl (which I already have) and gave it to a friend of mine who's starting to know a little bit about NO.

It costed R$1,00 (0,34 dollars or 0,19 pounds). An excellent and cheap present.

Only regrets I have were giving away the masters of several recordings when I packed it all in a few years ago. The irony of receiving a copy of one of mine back from someone recently !

i had a very good new order cd collection in early 90/91 i lost my job,so i sold evrything i had to a guy on our local second hand market.(sacrilege!) back then i was into depeche in a big way,so i sold all that as well,loads of bootlegs and videos,god i'm glad i got rid of those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nowadays,having collected all the new order releases on cd & vinyl (at great expense!)you couldnt prise them from my cold dead hands! i WOULD NEVER sell anything again,you dont know when some of these rare items are going to come around again! p.s i think the guy gave me about £100 for a massive box full of new order /depeche stuff1 MORAL OF THE STORY don't sell what you can't replace!

No, No I will never sell any of my no/jd records. Not even to buy that tropical island. What would I listen too. As a matter I'm still adding to my collection whenever I can, like I'm sure most of you here are.

NEVER!!! I have given a few 'doubles' to good friends and more recently, I just put in the post a WARSAW CD I had two of for TABOO#7...but I would never consider selling them off!!

Up to this point, not just a no, but a hell no!!!! I used to think that I'd always see NO records in the racks for a long time, which is why I missed a couple of things, like the UK single of Confusion (cause I bought the Streetwise US instead). Not that some of 'em are exceedingly hard to get a hold of, just another example of buying the things when the opportunity is there (the copies of FAC 93 that I've seen have been trashed, so I don't bother with those).

JD/NO records will be the last of mine to be sold, and then not willingly at all.

Oh man do I here that!! The BM88 and TF CDV's used to be a "dime-a-dozen" at my local shop in Sacramento back in the 88-89 timeframe. They cost just a bit too much for me at the time or actually I would just have rather spent h those extra pennies on other stuff...but to the point, I always thought they be there!! NOPE!! Took me fookin' about 11 years to find a new copy of TF CDV...BM88 CDV, that's another story. Still the sad little boy who's chance has passed.

I have two or three copies of Technique and R&R on vinyl that I may part with someday...but other than that, they will be incinerated or buried at sea wit me!!!

Until Robert Ballard is contracted to find my deep sea remains and recover the collection!!

When I first started collecting I bought anything and everything New Order, which meant my collection had some minty things and some not so minty things. Over the years, all two of them, I`ve gradually upgraded my collection with pure minty m/m and anything near minty has gone to be recycled or been given to the local shop for the blind.

Well done to you non-sellers.After seeing the SAVILLE show i regret selling for next to nothing OMD's album.I had not realized at the time he had designed this too.But i was just interested to see if it was just me who had become too clingy to all things NEW ORDER or not.Some great little anecdotes here.Tim...ouch....getting rid of those MASTERS back then was VERY BRAVE and DAFT.But at least you have got some back even if it is not the original.In HINDSIGHT i wish i had bought every single copy of released 12 inchers and CD's from my local record stores so that i could have given them away now.I was too busy blowing all my money on beer. regrets.....oh yeah! sold my entire collection of original vinyl & cassettes in the late 80's to a 2nd hand retailer in order to replace all with Cd - if only i knew then what I know now

Somebody sold Palatine on ebay last week for over £100, i'm very tempted to do the same. Also got the New Order Technique Tour book "untitled" anybody know if it has a Fac number or what they are worth?

I've never sold any of my JD/NO collection but having seen an Ideal For Living poster go for £52 on Ebay today I'm quite tempted to sell mine!
