Listening back to this recording at lunchtime, it occurred to me, having wondered why Ian's vocals sounded so much like a harmony (and in places, very chipmunk-esque) for the several years I've had this tape, it's the varispeed well and truly fcuking up! Take a listen to Digital (especially during the "day in, day out" section) and prepare to be truly astonished as to just how high IC's singing voice actually was. (Sorry to debunk any myths).
It's only taken me 4 years to reach this conclusion. Now if you'll excuse me, I believe Mensa are at the door...
