What the hell is Haystack?

track written by kevin hewick. new order played on it. mid 1980. wilson wanted hewick to become the new curtis but barney thought he was a cunt and played the riff from buzzcocks boredom instead of playing the song.

Initially appeared on a HTF compilation called "From Brussels With Love", and now available on a Kevin Hewick Cherry Red CD - available here.

Didn't Kevin contribute a few posts here a while back giving the inside story on this recording session? I seem to remember that he had no idea that he was going to be working with the surviving Joy Division members (they hadn't got a new name at the time) and was a tad star struck. If I knew how to search the site I'd try and find the posts!
