95 brown ones maybe - a lot more in different finishes ! It's no way worth £400. £250 max.

no, they only made 95 in any colour (this is number 82) check out the shergold website for confirmation, this sale is mentioned on the messageboard with the words "the holy grail"

How come I know so many people with them then ? There is no way that I know/know of 20% of the Marathon 6 owners in the world. RRP on Shergold site is £250.....

Just found that meself. Norm still says hundreds were made in a thread on there though !

that may be referring to the four string marathon, loads of them were made. even fender found it difficult to sustain any interest in a 6 string bass due to the lack of interest in them at the time, they discontinued their's pretty quickly.

He's right I asked Jack how many were made when he built mine in 91 as a one off and was astonished when he told me only 95 were built originaly.I also picked up an unfinished six string Marathon from 92 after Jack had died with all the hardware.As for price Mine cost me £550 finished.
