FROM COCK TO KISS the most memorable moments

For the chosen few only – my very own compilation of THE PERFECT KISS. A selection of the different stages of TPK; unfortunately excluding some good ones because I was limited to 80 mins. The average length of track being in excess of 8 mins, I ‘ve had to shave a bit off the soundcheck in order to fit in 9 complete tracks.

As for the quality of recordings, they’re not all perfect but take Gloucester for instance, it’s such a nice one I just HAD to include it, warts and all. Leicester was another dodgy one, this is the best of three copies I have. What I should mention also is that some have been converted from mp3.

THANK YOU to Marko, Simon and Twist for providing me with some of these vital tracks (your copies are ready for posting) and a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Jan for ‘normalising’ the volume for me. There’s still some (unavoidable I suppose) difference in volume but a lot less than the first edition. I did try to do it myself but unfortunately Soundforge refused to play ball ! Or is it just me being a novice ….?! Hope to have it cracked before I start the next project ( …and no, Simon, it won’t be BM!).

Now, for those of you who would like a copy as well, I’ve decided there is no way I’m able to put together questions that you would have difficulty finding the answers for, so instead I’d like you to complete the following: I LOVE THE PERFECT KISS BECAUSE ……… feel free to add any fond (or otherwise) memories you have of hearing this live. I love The Perfect Kiss.....cause it's the first honest to God video of theirs I saw on MTV(back when they played the things), and in prime time to boot, right next to Pat Benatar and Journey. I was visiting my parents when it came on, and I got a reaction out of my mother, one of only two from her regarding the music I liked ("Who is that group? Why do they look so normal?") as I cranked the volume up on the TV.

For the record, the other time was when she heard Lydia Lunch's caterwauling on her collabortion with Sonic Youth, Death Valley 69 "(" What in the world is that? Is someone dying out there?).

I love the Perfect Kiss because as Huntsman once said it takes your soul and send it skyhigh. And I would love to have that work-in-progress CD, listening to an evolving TPK for 80 minutes non stop.....mmm

Favourite version has to be Southampton Mayfair Suite '84 never heard that one before but I think its ace!!! great touch to finish on the 12" as well
