Ananda returns for another party at Jackson Pit this month to announce the first of a series of very special guests we have lined up for the year. Although our night is based upon quality residents its always good to throw a special guest in to the mix of sublime music now and again. So our first special guest of 2004 is no other than Peter Hook of New Order who promises not to hold any punches when he comes to rock the Ananda Basement. Expect quality house grooves and balearic style surprises and maybe some Johnny Cash from Peter; who knows?????.

Andy Calder, Ananda‚s promoter and resident and is revered for his block rocking genre spanning sets. Inspired by weekly pilgrimages to the Hacienda, he holds true to the acid house ethos of anything goes as long as it moves the crowd. Tunes wise if its got the funk he’s on it, with sets spanning from motor city house to disco and all the elements in between. Andy as resident has worked with some excellent guests @ Jackson Pit having spun alongside DJs such as Jon Da Silva, the Slammin Boys & Martin Brew.
SCOTT MELLORS
Scott has forged a considerable reputation for his sublime mixing and his unique take on latin infused house. His sets evoke Copa Cobana beach at sunrise and a party that doesn‚t end. He is also a monthly resident at Rude and this year will definitely see Scotts stature rises and rise. This man rocks it every time. believe!
JAY FLOYD
A legend in Manchester circles; Jay’s association with the Ananda team stretches over 10 years with his first residency: “Rude”. Jay is the in demand DJ and currently can be heard flexing his vinyl at nights such as Vision, Retro & 2 Risqué. He has earned a reputation as one of the best party Djs on the circuit, you can expect barnstorming vocals and 4 to the floor stompers
