Watching MTV2,they just mentioned that Coldplay have been approached to pen the next James Bond theme. (apparently Gwyneth Paltrow is gonna be a bond girl),& it got me thinking-what would it be like if New Order did one?

As long as it would sound better than the one Duran Duran did in the '80s, then it wouldn't be bad.

View to a kill was great, mind you I only think that cos I have a major boner for fairlights.

What would a new order theme sounds like? I think we can guess....lots of 'ookie playing the dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun bond riff on his trusty Shergold:-)

Anything is better than Madonna's "Die Another Day," surely.

The Order are doin the new Bruce Willis movie soundtracks, another pair of sequels in the Die Hard series;though set in Salford this time.

Die Hard 4: Dead Hard Die Hard 5: Dead Harder

Saville started the movie poster three years back , he's opted for square ones for the UK and rectangular ones for the States

They've asked Coldplay to do one? What the hell were they thinking? It'll be so depressing that half the people in the cinema (when the film comes out) will get up and leave! I'd love to see NO have a try; they'd make a far better job than Chris "fist-magnet" Martin and co ever could.

P.S. Fist-magnet = very annoying, punchable person.

Shelley, don't fool anybody.. you'd love to see the CHEMICAL BROTHERS do it

That peticular rumour is incorrect, Rocket has already played Dr No in the Austin Powers spoofs. The James Bond vetting council claimed too much confusion would be caused. New Order doing a bond soundtrack? Next you'll be telling me they've been asked to do a football song!

Bond themes as a rule are pretty mediocre these days, the ones that are actually bearable to yours truely are the "Goldfinger" and "Live and Let Die" themes. So I'm not surprised Coldplay got asked to do it (apart from "Yellow", they've been absolute trash).

As to what a NO theme might be like...they'd probably just do a retread of Blue Monday and take the leftover money for a bender in Manchester :D
