Sorry if this thread has appeared before - it is a very long time since I was last on this site. Has there been any official news on Electronic's demise? I know both Johnny and Bernard are busy with their own projects.

Oi!! Ouch!! Fudge-packer he may be, but I must admit to digging a bit of PSB. If Electronic were to do another album along the lines of TT, and so long that it does NOT interfere with future NO works, I'd be all for it folks.

That's the gist from San Diego!!

When did Electronic make a track with the fat dancer out of Take That? :D

No, only with the fat dancer out of New Order.

Me, I'm looking forward to the Hooky/Rourkie project, followed by the Steven/Mike Joyce drum opera.

Not exactly fresh news, but Bernard told me before the Apollo reunion gig in 1998 that they were going to do all that was scheduled with the side projects so they could clear them all and concentrate on new New Order releases because New Order were back for good. He was so clear and serious when he told me that I haven't ever had any doubt wether he was meaning it or not, and I was so happy to see him so totally committed to New Order again, after having seen him sick after Technique, half-arsed with Republic, and then stuck to the usual phrase the most of us will remember: "New Order haven't split but we haven't any plan to work together in the foreseeable future". Before the Apollo it was such a beautiful surprise to see him saying something that clearly meant like this: We're gonna finish all the side projects because afterwards it will be only New Order, forever. By the way Johnny Marr has found his way with the Healers too... now it's almost strange it's Hooky working on a side project, when you remember in the mid-90s he was basically saying he was doing Revenge and Monaco only because New Order weren't active, that he wouldn't have done a side project if New Order were still going and he was shocked when Barney started Electronic... but I guess he just thinks at his new project as some fun with celebrity mates and not as a true band like with his previous projects...

Spring Valley is only 13 miles east of downtown SD. Right near SDSU. But NOOOOOOOO record shops worth a poop in this immediate area.

Why do good record shops always end up in areas with large gay populations? The best record shops in LA are in Hollywood.

If Barney is only interested in New Order then a Smiths re-union cant be far off (see how Moz`s album does first) a possible for Glasto 2005.

A smiths re union is about as likely as stockport county winning the champions league.
