I was in a local night club at the weekend and every Saturday they do play 2 New Order tunes. As you can guess they are Blue Monday and True Faith which as much as I love the songs it can get on your nerves when you know that at 01:00 am you know whats going to get played. So I took it upon myself to ask the DJ if just for once he had something different by the Order. He said he did and to be honest I was expecting Crystal or Regret. When I realised it was E.G.G I was pleasantly shocked as in all my 30 years I have never heard this song in a night club. The point of this rambling is that having heard and danced to E.G.G it confirmed this song as my all time N.O favourite as the way the bass was bouncing of the walls was tops. Does anyone else agree and if not whats your favourite N.O tune in a club enviroment.

Our local nightclub DJ has a copy of the Lee Coombs Crystal remix, that is very well received at the moment, although I can guarantee that none of the teenies have a fucking clue who New Order are!!
There's a joint up here called 'Trash' where us groover types go for a shake of our booty's of a Saturday night and they play some real skankin tunes, amongst them lately has been the aforementioned Lee Combes remix of Crystal and lo an behold it sounds funkin ace. However, on returning to 'shag central' with my hot young minx it just never sounds the same, especially when you've got bleary eyed neighbours shouting through the letterbox for you to 'turn that fuckin rabble doon'! 
Lee Coombs Crystal sounds fuckin great in a club. Heard it a couple of times around here recently. Hearing EGG would be pretty amazing though...
EGG is my favourite NO song anyway - nothing else in the world ever has or ever will sound like it.
Unfortunately, I've never heard it played in a club - the only chance I get to frug manically to it is when I'm driving, which is very safe I'm sure

All New Order songs sound great in a nightclub!!
But I do have to admit: E.G.G. is not the first song to expect in a night club.
You know, some youngsters (sorry for the word) do know new order, or they recognise the music, because of the rather recent 'Blade' version of confusion (which is art in its form).

Everything's Gone Green has to be my favourite NO track. The cover for the 7" (Procession) was released in 9 different colours (but you all knew that already) - of which I have 5. The title was a result of the sight that greeted the band after they stepped outside after a long night in the recording studio (again common knowledge, sorry). I even went as far as painting the Italian Futurist design on my bedroom wall! It filled the whole wall and my parents thought I was mad! (well maybe they had a point). This was ohhhhhh, 19 years ago?? I was obsessed with the track then and guess I still am (you'd never know would you!!) - sad or what. Used to hear it played in an Indie Club years ago but never hear it nowadays - shame.

It's the prehistoric-sounding electronics that did it for me with them early ones. Anyone remember the of-mentioned fact that the band often made all their own drum machines and synth-sounds - which they used on EGG, parts of Movement, and, more prominently, on Temptation/Hurt ?

I can remember it being played at the local club near me in my younger days, and MANY people dancing to it...brings back excellent memories of weekends in the 80's with few cares and little worries

At the end of school last year during sober grad night i got the dj to play blue monday, true faith, and actually got her to dig deep in her songs to find everythings gone green. None of the other kids got it though.
