I'm about to make a complete Revenge/Monaco mp3 cd and I have a question about three songs:

  1. White Light, White Heat : Is this song real? Or is it just Hot nights/cool city. If it is real can someone email it to me? Floyds site is down so I cant check.

  2. Born to kill: Is there a studio version of this song, or did they just play it live. And Is there a soundboard recording of this song?

  3. Citadel :Is there a studio version of this song, or did they just play it live. And Is there a soundboard recording of this song?

This is a Velvet Underground cover, which was released on a VU tribute album back in '91 or so.

Original version of "Under The Stars"...I haven't heard of a studio version with the original lyrics, but the '93 London Marquee gig has a rendition.

Just live, AFAIK. There may be...in theory, the 04 Sep 1990 performance in Cologne should be (or close to it in SQ) a soundboard, since it was professionally videotaped, but the copy I have has terrible audio.

I had a studio version of Born to kill with original lyrics (plus a few other tracks)that one of the guys from Revenge did for me in 93, i'll see if i can dig it out. The london marque gig you mention i taped this gig is the copy you've got got me telling the girlfriend 'to stop talking' and me asking her what the time was (i think i have'nt played it for a while) i'd be interested to know if ther was a different version out there. the only person i've sent a copy to was(the infamous) Alex Stazco

This would be very cool.

It may or may not be. Both my copies (from the same source, I think) are missing the initial track which was labeled "Funky One"...dunno if your girlfriend was talking to you at the very start of the tape. I wonder if "Funky One" is "Underworld"? I emailed you privately and sent you a writeup of the gig, hopefully that should give you enough info to ID it as your source.
