i think they´re done with the covers. but i really think mr. Iggy Pop should ask Hooky to play "Little Know It All" live some time. everytime i hear that song i think "this was made for Hooky". and how damn happy our fella would be! 
that radiohead jingle. the one with the line "i could be wrong." just think about hooky and all that twang. oh fun.
I would like to hear New Order cover the song "Breakfast Time" by Orange Juice.
It's a rare song, a good song, but not a huge hit so people wouldn't be bias against it.
"love will tear us apart" , it was origanlly a paul young song i think.
and the base line was made for hooky.

i met him too... although, he usually has good reasons for being an asshole...
at some festival last year, the organizers were accusing him of some sort of crap about being late and stuff... and it pissed off alot of people...
hes also very opinionated, and overly critical... much like myself... ive actually killed alot of friendships because of my overly criticalness...

As for NO covers, I haven't heard Vietnam, but most of the rest of them blow in my opinion. Except Turn the Heater On, it's pretty good.

I could go on with some crap about how they've become a JD covers band, and how much I'd like them to cover some NO.
But seriously, before I want them to cover someone else's work, I'd like them to look at their back catalogue and realize that they indeed did write more than 16 songs, So that the next time they play live there is a bit more variety.
In terms on recording someone else's songs nothing comes to mind that I'd like them to do.
I'd quite like to hear them doing:
'The Model' - Kraftwerk
'Electricity' - OMITD (a Factory release...)
'Wishing (If I had a photograph of you)' - A Flock of Seagulls
'Decades' - Joy Division
and probably many more. Don't think they're likely to play ANY of them though...

well, he's canada's rock n'roll asshole. every country should have their own...i think people think canadians are too nice, which isn't a bad thing. but at least he says something intelligent. abrasive? sure. his songs? not a big fan, but he's got some alright stuff.
as for a new order cover....i would actually like to hear them do anarchy in the UK. i know they've done it, but it would be nice to hear them record a nice version of it instead of a bootleg mp3 that gets passed around. ill probably think up of a better song later. or the model by kraftwerk.
