Song Debuts

I'm new to this site and just want to rather nerdishly point out that Denial and Procession were played at Northampton Roadmender Club on 7.2.81 and not debuted later wherever it says in the song browser. I don't know if other songs are wrongly listed because I didn't go any further. I should know, I was there and have just finished making a cdr from an ancient cassette of the gig. Stockholm Monsters and Section 25 supported and it was one of the best gigs i've ever been to in my (now middle aged) life. Great site though!

Sorry, Procession was definitely played at the Roadmender and they played Denial at Nottingham the following April, still earlier than it says in the song browser, and they were mind blowing at both gigs. There was a rumour they hired Pink Floyd's quadraphonic P.A. for the gigs that included the Northampton one. Anyone know for sure? Enough of my anal questions about yesteryear.

I remember reading that they used a quadrophonic sound system for the Commanche Student Union, Roadmenders Club and Heaven gigs but I'd never heard that it was Pink Floyd's.

The song browser has been wrong for some time on certain songs - it always has problems with Procession, which was debuted at Manchester Squat in 1980. For some reason, there are about 30 entries missing for Procession down the years.

Denial first turned up at Bedford Boys Club in March 81, a slower version and quite a long way apart from the frenzied live noise it became.

Mark Refoy is not only the mainstay of Slipstream, but is also in a combo cunningly entitled the Sunshine Valley Dance Band.....wonder who else toyed with that moniker ?

You must be very bored about references to your namesake :) I've always found that the easiest way to deal with it is to stare uncomprehendingly at whoever's made the 'jokey comment'. When they explain said comment and say something like "you must hear things like that all the time" I say to them "No, you're the first person that's noticed" (have to keep a straight face, though) and it usually shuts them up, though I have had people take offence at that approach thinking that I should roar with laughter at hearing the same witticism for the 563rd time! I think that's stolen from a Monty Python sketch, but I couldn't be certain.
