Is it just me, or don't all the previous New Order CD's need re-mastering! I recently bought a re-mastered copy of Tears for Fears "The Hurting" which included all the remixes that came from the album. The sound quality was outstanding! Plus the inclusion of the remixes just completed the package. I think New Order should do the same! What I would do to find the Original Confusion 12" version on CD! My 12' single is kind of played out! What do you guys think?

Well, for the singles.. that was the point of Recycle.. if the project ever see the light of day.

...Tears for bleedin' Fears! Ye Gods. The point is well made, but I hope I'm not the only one here who's glad that NO did/do nothing similar to TFF.
Remastering is usually a marketing ploy for selling old rope - and IMHO, they should leave the NO back catalogue as is - still sounding of it's time and ahead of it's time...just an opinion

I think some kind of reissue/remaster project is long overdue. The original single versions of Ceremony,temptation and confusion have never appeared on cd which is just stupid!I think we could hold our breaths forever waiting for recycle to appear so maybe a new compilation of all the singles in their original versions?

Actually, there is some "Substance REMASTERED" listed on some music sites...

Isn't the original temptation single available on the 1981-fep313-1982 ep, which can be found on CD? It is hard to find, but I have it. Or was there a version previous to this one???

yes ,the twelve inch version is on the cd of 1981-82,but the seven inch (quite different to the long version and a real gem)has never been to my knowledge.
no no no, no more re-mixes, re-masters or anything else re-do of those good old songs. they are all classics! i don´t wanna hear CEREMONY with a dancebeat or AGE OF CONSENT with heavy guitar. i love them exactly the way they are.
